Ash Barty looked every inch the proud mum on Tuesday as she celebrated her son Hayden’s first birthday.
The former tennis star, 28, took to Instagram with a very sweet family snap which showed her and husband Garry Kissick posing up a storm with their only child.
‘Cake for breakfast,’ the Wimbledon champion captioned the happy snap as the trio were all smiles in front of a cartoon echidna shaped birthday cake.
Fans of Ash flocked to the comments of the heartwarming post with well wishes for young Hayden and his famous mother.
‘He’s so adorable! A mini Ash!’ one person wrote, as another said: ‘Beautiful photo, looking forward to seeking you back on the court Ash.’
A third commented: ‘Happy birthday, Hayden! Your parents look so proud and the memories of this day will remain with them forever.’
‘Get it boy happiest 1st bday gorgeous boy see you for the biggest birthday cuddle soon,’ another added.
The celebration comes just days after Ash revealed she is releasing a new tennis-themed children’s book two years after her retirement from the sport.

Alongside the snaps, the mother-of-one penned: ‘I’m so excited to share my brand-new children’s book series with you all.
‘It’s called Tennis Camp Diaries, and the first book Doubles Disaster follows the highs and lows of Ash going to tennis camp, competing in a doubles tournament and other fun adventures.
‘It’s been fantastic to collaborate with the team behind Little Ash, Jasmin McGaughey and Jade Goodwin, again to create this story. Book one comes out on 3 July. I can’t wait for everyone to read it!’
It is not Ash’s first venture into children’s literature as she previously teamed up with Jasmin McGaughey to help create the Little Ash 10-book series.
