Benidorm star Asa Elliott has revealed the staggering amount he receives in royalties 10 years after starring on the ITV show.
All seasons of the comedy are currently available on streaming platforms including ITVX, Netflix and Disney+.
Asa, 43, first appeared in Benidorm during the 2010 Christmas special and later appeared in 13 episodes across seasons five and six.
Although he only appeared in a few episodes for several minutes, the singer still earns a healthy amount all these years later.
He revealed in a TikTok video: ‘So, when I first started filming the show there was nothing in my contract to [say] I’d receive repeat fees or royalties.
‘But thankfully my agent at the time, she managed to renegotiate the contract when I had some scenes with extra dialogue and I was in a few more episodes.

‘And ever since then I’ve been receiving royalties every year.’
The actor admitted it’s a ‘mystery’ when his payments are going to arrive but revealed he regularly pockets from the show.
He added: ‘Now it’s always a bit of a mystery when they’re going to arrive and even how much it’s going to be for, I have no idea.
‘But last year I got two different payments which dropped into my account. So it was two payments, £81 and £98.
‘Now I remember the first time I got royalties I didn’t know it was coming and I got £1,000 in my bank account. It was so unexpected and so welcomed.
‘And ever since then it’s been two or three hundred pounds every year. So I only had quite a small role in the show.
‘So can you imagine how much the main actors get every year? I’d love to ask them. I wonder if any of them will tell me how much they got.’
Fans were left in disbelief over how much he pockets, with some writing: ‘Is that it?’, ‘You’d be able to buy a loaf of bread with that’,

‘I wonder how much Jaqueline got because I’m pretty sure she was in every episode, I wonder if there’s a cap on it’.
Asa’s career came to a halt when the pandemic hit and in 2021, he revealed he had worked as an Asda delivery driver to supplement his income during lockdown.
Since then, work has picked up and the sitcom star is back performing on cruises.
Speaking to Hull Live in February 2022, the Mancunian said: ‘I got a job with my local shop in Kingswood doing deliveries for them and I helped out at the local vaccination centres as a volunteer steward.
‘I’m starting to go back onto the cruises now but things are still a bit ad-hoc and a bit last minute because of the changing restrictions around the world.’
He added: ‘Work picked up again when the UK holiday parks started opening last year and I did a few tours then, it was great because I think people needed it.’
Asa’s role in Benidorm came about from his time working in the Spanish resort itself, when he was spotted by the show’s creator Derren Litten, who invited him to audition.
