Celebrities used to dress to impress if they knew the paparazzi would snap them walking through the airport.

But singer Lily Allen decided a state of undress was the best travelling gear – taking to the skies in a pair of crumpled striped pyjamas.
Ms Allen shared the image with her two million Instagram followers yesterday. The photo was taken in Mexico, where she took a break at the end of January.
But while her airport attire may have been unconventional her accessories were not cheap. She was clutching a bright red Hermes handbag which retails for around £11,000 with what appeared to be a luxurious beige cashmere wrap stuffed inside.
Perhaps she was having a duvet day after having lost out on a performing slot at the Brits later this month, the MoS can reveal.
Her fellow nominee Olivia Dean, will be performing as part of the awards. Allen – 'thrilled' at the success of her comeback album West End Girl – was delighted to be nominated for three awards this year. But the star female performer at the celebrations in Manchester later this month is set to be five times-nominated Olivia Dean, 26, fresh from her triumph as Best New Artist at the Grammys. Music industry insiders told the MoS they were 'amazed' to learn that Dean had been asked to sing instead of Allen. There is said to have been consternation at the latter's record label, BMG, with colleagues – including her manager and ex-boyfriend, Seb Chew – complaining about it in private.

They argued that Allen's album, which chronicles the painful breakdown of her marriage to Stranger Things star David Harbour, was one of the most culturally significant of the year.
A well-placed source said: 'Lily's team were hopping mad at first. They thought Lily was a shoo-in.

'Lily herself is happy with whatever happens at the Brits and, whether she performs or not, she's thrilled she's been nominated multiple times.'
The singer, who shot to fame in 2006 with Smile, had been living in New York, with actor Harbour and had not produced any new music since 2018. But when their marriage imploded, amid claims that Harbour had been having an affair, Allen wrote West End Girl – which referenced a woman named only as 'Madeline'. The MoS later revealed her to be New Orleans-based costume designer Natalie Tippett, said to have met Harbour on a film set.
Another source added that Allen is 'planning' to go to the Brits on February 28 'if rehearsals for her forthcoming tour are progressing well and allow her time'.
