Speaking on the Graham Norton Show on Friday, the professional dancer, 38, joined a host of celebrity guests on the famous red sofa.

During the most recent series, Johannes left fans of the BBC show concerned when he made an emotional speech after he and his partner Alex Kingston were voted out.

In a bid to clear up the rumours, host Graham asked: 'I’ve got to ask you while you’re here Johannes, a lot of Strictly fans, myself included, were a bit worried, you were very boo hoo when you said goodbye to Alex Kingston on Strictly.

'Is that the end? Are you not coming back to Strictly?'

'Was I boo hoo?,' Johannes questioned as Graham confirmed: 'Yes, you were sobbing!'

The dancer continued: 'Graham, I will do that show for as long as they will have me. It’s a magical, sparkling world, I love it.'

Johannes joined fellow guests Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, Amanda Seyfried and Jacob Alon on Graham's sofa.

Rumours of his departure began in November, as viewers questioned if he would step away from the show for good.

In what fans were saying was an unusual move, Johannes directly addressed his Strictly 'family', which prompted them to ask: 'Is JoJo leaving? It felt like a goodbye speech?'

After being voted out following a dance off against Balvinder Sopal and Julian Callion, Johannes told Alex: 'I've never grinned as much as I have in the last few weeks.

'Thank you Alex for being a trooper, I will hold on to the memories. As far as the dancing goes, I think we've achieved what we wanted to achieve.

'These memories are just the beginning for us, we can say that we are very much a Strictly family.'

But viewers started to question if Johannes will return to the show after he addressed his fellow pros up in the Clauditorium.

'So sad to see them go. So sad that it looks like our queen JoJo could be leaving Strictly going by his speech. He is so special, would be a massive miss but he is a star born for the stage'.

'Jojo sounded like he's leaving in that speech'.

Strictly declined to comment when contacted by Daily Mail.

Johannes joined the Strictly Come Dancing cast back in 2018 and danced with the likes of Catherine Tyldesley, Caroline Quentin, Annabel Croft and Montell Douglas.
