Ariel Winter Moves In With Costar After Split

 is living with one of her Modern Family costars after a shock split from longtime boyfriend Luke Benward.

Modern Family - which ran for 11 seasons and ended in 2020 - starred , , , , Ed O'Neill, Eric Stonestreet and Nolan Gould, among others. 

When the 28-year-old Nashville resident spends time in , which she says is frequently these days, she shares a home with Gould, who played her brother on the show.

'It's funny because I spend more time out here [in LA] now and I rent a house with Nolan,' Winter told People.

'People ask me about a Modern Family reboot, but Nolan and I are real roommates now,' added the brunette.

'So it's like we're having our own little Modern Family reboot, but it's just the two of us living together. So I see him every day,' she added.

These days Winter and Gould are just chilling out at home instead of partying.

'I'm not gonna lie, when we sit there at night and we watch, like, Temptation Island together, it's pretty hilarious,' she said. 'So we have thought about it. We're just like, people would find this really funny.'

Last year Winter admitted it was difficult when Modern Family ended.

'It was hard. We were like a real family. It was weird knowing it would just be over, and I wouldn't get to see everybody all the time anymore. It was like, wait, yeah, wait, we're not going to be together on Monday?' she shared.

Winter then added, 'So on the one hand, I didn't want it to end, but at the same time, I was ready to start something new as an adult.'

The 28-year-old performer's roommate news comes after she called it quits with 31-year-old Benward in August 2025, People claimed last week.

'They just realized after almost six years that they were better as friends,' a source told the site. 

Winter and Benward have 'tons of love still there between them,' the source added. 'They are still best friends and share the pups, so everything is really good.'

He has not appeared on her Instagram pages since last year and their last public outing was in July 2025. 

The two dramatically moved out of  four years ago for a quieter life in  with their two dogs.

Winter frequently praised Benward as her 'safe space' and credited their long-term friendship as the foundation for their partnership.

They were friends for years before they began dating in late 2019. She has said going from friends to lovers was the 'best thing ever.' 

She also said he helped her through the 'difficult times' during the COVID-19 pandemic. Winter called him her 'guiding light' through tough days as she battled stress from worldwide fame.

Winter has been working on a new Disney project. She is again voicing the character of Princess Sofia for the new film Sofia The First: Royal Magic. 

The performer has voiced the title character for the popular Disney TV show since 2012.

In July 2025 Winter talked to the Daily Mail about her difficult early years of fame.

She said she received 'inappropriate messages from older men' when she was a child.

The star found fame through her role as Alex Dunphy on the sitcom Modern Family and has revealed how she .

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Winter said: 'I am familiar with male predators because I worked in Hollywood at a young age. I started at age four. I don't wanna say too much about it, but by the time I was on a laptop and cell phone, I was getting inappropriate messages from older men, and it caused trauma.'

She added: 'The experiences I had in person and online as a child have affected me so deeply that I've had to go to therapy for it. The movie and TV industry is a dark place.'
