Apple Martin, 21, a self-confessed 'theatre kid' has turned her hand to directing, leading the crew of a theatre production at her $67K-a-year college.

The daughter of , 53, and frontman , 49, will graduate from Vanderbilt University in May with a degree in law, history, and society.

And the , who is hoping to follow her mother into acting, is gaining behind-the-scenes experience directing a play at her Nashville college.

Apple shared snaps of the show as she gushed over the 'best weekend, best people, best org, best memories' before her college added the caption: 'Miss Director couldn't have said it better.'

Last year, Apple told Interview Magazine how she loves theater 'more than anything'. 

'I would love to do theater because I adore it so much. I’ve obviously never done film before, but I’ve been trying to get involved in student films. I was born a theater kid.'

Speaking of her prior plans of going into law school, she explained to Vogue: 'I was in that rebellious "I don't wanna be like my parents" type of phase.'

She also clarified that she does not want to be a musician like her famous dad.

'I don't wanna be a singer. I like musical theater, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying, I love dancing and I love acting. My dream is to act.'

Apple made headlines after it was claimed that she had been .

Addressing the claims on Instagram, she said: 'Hi! I didn't wanna respond but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand. I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone.

'I completely understand ppl not liking me and that is okay! The internet is a place where ppl can share their opinions. [sic] 

'But this rumor is completely untrue, I am not that type of person and anyone who is close to me knows that.'

In 2024, Apple faced bullying accusations after a video showed her seemingly attempting to crash a fellow debutante's photo shoot and roll her eyes at her date at the Le Bal Des Debutantes in Paris, France.

Afterwards, a source close to Gwyneth told DailyMail.com that her daughter is a 'girls' girl' not a 'mean girl'.

'Apple's more playful and fun and she's really a total girls' girl.

'She would never mean to take the spotlight from anyone, that was not her intention. To characterise her as a mean girl is very untrue.

'She had such a wonderful evening and I feel bad that this is even taking away from that because it was such an uplifting evening for her and the other girls.'
