The spine-tingling new trailer for Apartment 7A, the prequel for Rosemary’s Baby, has been released.
Julia Garner, 30, stars as Terry Gionoffrio, a dancer who senses something sinister is afoot after she moves into her very own place.
Terry begins experiencing a series of supernatural events shortly after she begins living in a new apartment.
Despite initially seeing the move as a positive, Terry soon begins to suspect her new landlady is behind the terrifying events.
The trailer sees Terry meeting a wealthy, older couple (played by Dianne Wiest and Kevin McNally), who offer her a spot in an empty apartment they own.

Terry decides to move in but it doesn’t take long before troubling things begin happening to her.
The first clue something is off is a single ballet slipper Terry finds in her dresser.
Believing the foot belonged to the last tenant, she returns it to her landlady.
‘She skipped out of here like Cinderella at midnight,’ the landlady says before dumping it in the trash.
While auditioning for a dancing role, she endures an injury on stage.
Then, while in her new apartment, her landlady attempts to barge into the unit.
‘What’s the hold up, dear?’ her landlord asks as she pries into the doorway, the chain the only thing keeping her outside.
‘Can you just leave, please?’ Terry asks, clearly unnerved.
Terry peers into the peep hole and sees her landlady flashing a mischievous smile before she walks down the hallway.

While receiving a haircut from her landlady, the older woman quietly rants as she angrily trims her hair – before inadvertently cutting her ear, causing it to bleed.
Now truly unnerved, she heads to church to ask for advice.
‘There’s something wrong with these people,’ she muses. ‘I think something happened to the girl who lived here before me.’
The concerned nun replies: ‘They did ungodly things to her. And now they’ve chosen you.’
‘What do you mean?’ Terry asks.
While in her dressing room, she suddenly sees she has a baby bump in the reflection of one of the mirrors in her dressing room – despite it not being there in reality.

A synopsis for the film reads: ‘An ambitious young dancer Terry Gionoffrio (Julia Garner, Ozark) dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple (Wiest and Kevin McNally) welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford.

‘When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer (Jim Sturgess) offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true.
‘However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.’
The film is a prequel to the iconic 1968 film by Roman Polanski, Rosemary’s Baby. Julia’s role of Terry was originally portrayed by Victoria Vetri in that film.
