‘I thought last year’s series was great and with this year’s series, the cast is shaping up to me really strong. Very strong.’
The mystery celebrity campmates have also begun to land Down Under ahead of the 2023 series launch date of Sunday, November 19.
Their arrival in Australia comes after it was reported that I’m A Celeb bosses are planning a devilish twist to one of their most long-standing trials.
The Sun obtained footage of the crew trialling the Walk The Plank challenge on top of the Focus Building in Surfer’s Paradise.
In the past, the terrifying trial saw the celebrities battle their vertigo as they had to edge down a plank high up in the air, before even making it into the jungle.
But this year it appears the show has amped up the fear factor even further, with the ITV crew members testing the challenge out being seen balancing on a metal pole on all fours.
The anxiety-inducing challenge requires the campmates to cling on tightly as they move forward to reach the stars, while dangling from the 96m tall building.
Even making their way to the pole is scary enough, as the stars must climb down a ladder, while 32 storeys high.

It appears that producers have decided to mix things up to be even scarier and challenging in response to viewers who complained some of the trials had become stale.
A source told The Sun: ‘One thing is immediately clear from the pictures we’ve seen of trial structures so far and now the brand new Focus Building set-up – ITV hasn’t come to play this year.
‘The volume has been well and truly cranked up on every Bushtucker Trial. Everything is on track for a bigger and better series than ever.’
The full line-up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has also reportedly been revealed.
Soap stars, TV presenters, a retired boxer and a politician have all been named as among the stars heading to the jungle.
According to The Sun, 12 celebrities have signed on the dotted line to take part on the new series.
One of the most controversial rumoured signings is Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage.
He said the show has approached him many time, but that ‘unlike previous years’ he is ‘giving it very, very serious consideration’ this time round.

Shocker: Another surprise alleged campmate is said to be Britney Spears’ estranged younger sister, Jamie Lynn (pictured together in 2017)
Intriguing: Frankie Dettori has also roused suspicion, after he announced his retirement from horse racing after 35 years in December last year (pictured last month)
Suspicious: Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson fuelled speculation he was joining the line-up after he was missing from his podcast with Pete Wicks this week, suggesting he had left for Australia (pictured in August)
The politician-turned-TV presenter said he was considering it as he feels he might be able to ‘connect’ with a younger audience.
Another surprise alleged campmate is said to be Britney Spears’ estranged younger sister, Jamie Lynn.
Bosses are said to be hoping the 32-year old mother-of-two will reveal previously unheard details about her fractious relationship with Britney.
Frankie Dettori has also roused suspicion, after he announced his retirement from horse racing after 35 years in December last year.
He also reportedly told his friends about his excitement to take part in the Bushtucker trials, but voiced his concern about keeping his hair styled.
Bosses are also said to be keen on This Morning’s Josie Gibson, as well as First Dates star Fred Sirieix, despite him previously insisting he ‘would never’ go on the show.
The show frequently features soap stars, and this year it has been rumoured the spots will be filled by Hollyoaks stalwart Nick Pickard and EastEnders actress Danielle Harold, after her character was killed off and she scooped the Serial Drama Performance prize at the National Television Awards earlier this year.
Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson fuelled speculation he was joining the line-up after he was missing from his podcast with Pete Wicks this week, suggesting he had left for Australia.
Former Catfish UK presenter Nella Rose’s name has also been thrown around, while JLS star Marvin Humes is also said to be in the mix.
The last spot is surprisingly rumoured to be filled by MasterChef’ Grace Dent, despite her previously blasting the show.
In the past, Grace has branded the show ‘a puerile venture into starvation, televised constipation and animal cruelty, abbreviated by ads for Iceland £1 curries.’
In 2012, she also admitted that she was embarrassed to watch it, saying: ‘I snap my blinds firmly shut before settling down to watch I’m a Celeb, in fear the theme tune alone devalues my property.’
