They are the nations favourite presenting duo and Ant and Dec are reportedly set to land the ultimate joint 50th birthday present this autumn.

The pair are said to have signed a £30million golden handcuffs deal with ITV in a bid to warn off any attempts by rival channels to poach them.

It comes after ITV lost This Morning favourite Holly Willoughby to Netflix after she fronted Celebrity Bear Hunt.

However Ant and Dec are still a huge face of the channel, presenting I’m A Celeb, Britain’s Got Talent and their gameshow Limitless Win.

A TV insider said: ‘This is one of the last golden handcuff deals in television but ITV see Ant and Dec as a worthwhile investment.

‘They’re still loved by the public and front some of the channel’s biggest and most successful shows.

‘From the ITV execs’ point of view, it also ensures that there aren’t any counter-bids from the streaming giants who are increasingly moving into the light entertainment arena,’ according to The Sun.

As well as Holly, Netflix has also recently struck deals with Emma Willis and Amanda Holden.

Emma and her husband Matt host Love Is Blind and Amanda fronted Cheat: Unfinished Business.

Ant and Dec are thought to make an official statement about the offer in the New Year when their current three year contract ends.

Daily Mail has contacted Ant and Dec’s representatives and ITV for comment.

The Geordie duo have been pals for over 30 years, with their partnership kicking off when they met on the set of children’s dram Byker Grove in 1989.

In a joint interview with The Times Magazine back in 2021 the pair reflected on their friendship.

When discussing how neither have plans to go their separate ways, Ant remarked on how some TV partnerships don’t go the distance as he said: ‘A lot of double acts only last for a certain amount of time and are very short-lived.’

While in response to the suggestion that it’s because they secretly hate each other, Dec remarked that this ‘disappoints’ him.

He went on: ‘I think the difference is ours is a professional relationship built on a friendship, not a friendship built on a professional relationship. It’s friendship first and foremost. That’s a solid foundation.’

Meanwhile ITV confirmed back in March that Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win will be returning for two more series and two Christmas specials of the quiz show.

Limitless Win first hit screens in 2022 and sees contestants answer questions in a bid to win cash – but with a twist.
