Ant and Dec have revealed it took more than two hours to film the now infamous drinking trial which had champion boxer, Tony Bellew, on his hands and knees vomiting.
Ant, 48, said: ‘The drinking trial took more than two hours. They’ve been known to take three hours. In South Africa, the Shaun Walsh and Dean Gaffney trial took more than three hours.’
Sunday night’s Bushtucker Trial saw Nigel Farage, 59, and Tony Bellew, 40, go head-to-head in Down Your Sorrows in which they had to drink blended pigs penis, fly larvae and vomit fruit mixtures.
People reported ‘heaving’ while watching Tony Bellew try to down his drinks with much difficulty and now learn that the gruelling ordeal on-screen went on for more than two hours off-camera.
Viewers only got half the action as Ant and Dec revealed afterwards that more of the boxer’s already extreme reaction was cut down to save timing in last night’s show.

But Ant, 48, revealed last night on his Instagram: ‘The thing you don’t know about these challenges is, they take a long time to film. He spewed a lot more than what we showed on camera. We couldn’t show it all but at one point he was on all fours in the corner being sick.’
Laughing, Ant continued: ‘At one point, he was spewing so hard that when it hit the floor, it came back up and hit him in the face.’
But audiences were made to believe from the final cut that the champion boxer, 40, had completed the Trial alongside Nigel Farage, 59, without being sick once.
It comes as Tony was reportedly ‘furious’ behind the scenes that he lost the Handball challenge against Frankie Dettori and Fred Siriex meaning his team lost out on the Breakfast of Champions.
Off camera, Tony shouted: ‘That’s not right. They’re doing that because they want to see a fat man starve!
‘It’s b******. We need VAR.’
Afterwards, Dec, 48, said: ‘If Tony has to do the drinking challenge, he’s going to punch me in the face.’
I’m A Celeb viewers ended up voting for Tony and Nigel to undergo the Down Your Sorrows challenge last night which left viewers ‘heaving’ in their seats.
