Anne Hathaway Stuns in Plunging Fringed Gown at British Fashion Awards, Personifies Elegance on Swanky Red Carpet

Anne Hathaway brought Hollywood glamour to rainy London as she attended the British Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday. 

The American actress, 41, looked sensational in a plunging cream gown which boasted a quirky fitted bodice with eye-catching fringe.

Anne accessorised the stunning look with sparkling diamonds and slipped her feet into a pair of chic stiletto heels. 

The Devil Wear’s Prada star braved the downpour to attend the event and was spotted leaving her hotel in a long checkerboard coat.

After hitting the red carpet she made sure to remove the outwear as she posed up a storm for the sea of cameras.

A-listers such as Beyonce, Kate Moss, Poppy Delevingne, Lily James, Jourdan Dunn and Rina Sawayama all expected to walk the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards 2023. 

The event, presented by jewllery brand Pandora returned to the iconic London venue, the Royal Albert Hall on Monday evening. 

Leading industry figures will be recognised such as Valentino Garavani with the Outstanding Achievement award, make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury with the Special Recognition Award, and the late Joe Casely-Hayford with a posthumous special recognition award.

South Londoner Kai Isaiah Jamal has been nominated for the model of the year gong along with the likes of Paloma Elsesser and Alton Mason.  

The event serves as the main fundraiser for the BFC Foundation. which supports the future growth and success of the British fashion industry through its focus on education, grant-giving, and business mentoring.

The BFC is also going back to having some gender-based design awards for the first time since the pandemic, splitting the best British designers into menswear and womenswear categories. 

On Friday, it was revealed that the British singer Sam Smith will accept the Cultural Innovator Award on stage, 

Guests have previously included Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Dua Lipa, with Bella Hadid winning model of the year in 2022.

Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council, said: ‘It is imperative the awards are reflective of our incredibly multifaceted industry and its brands and creatives.’

It comes after Anne opened up about her long-lasting marriage with Adam Shulman on Friday.

During a new episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the actress spoke about how she and her husband just marked 11 years of marriage.

She also weighed in on the conspiracy theory that her husband could be the reincarnation of William Shakespeare.

The Eileen star admitted that it is ‘weird’ that renowned playwright and poet was also married to a woman named Anne Hathaway.

‘It would be great if it’s true but if not, [it’s] still kinda great,’ she continued before gushing about her husband.

In conversation with the television host, Hathaway also recalled how her and Shulman’s second date was at one of Barrymore’s get-togethers.

‘This is what’s really crazy,’ she told the Charlie’s Angels alumna. ‘His and my second date was at your Halloween party where you dressed up as Tippi Hendren from The Birds.

She added that the character from the 1963 horror mystery film shaped her role in her new film, Eileen.
