AnnaLynne McCord has hinted at a secret marriage to former rugby player Danny Cipriani – weeks after the couple confirmed their tumultuous relationship is back on.
The American actress originally ended her relationship with Cipriani in January, little more than nine months after the couple announced they were dating.
But an affectionate joint appearance at an Emmy Awards nominations party in July indicated they were back together, and McCord, 38, has since suggested that the reunited couple have taken their relationship significantly further.
Attending the 33rd annual Broadcasting+Cable Hall Of Fame in New York City on Tuesday, the actress referred to herself as Cipriani’s ‘wife’ while discussing their relationship with Daily Mail.
‘I am trying desperately to push him into the world of acting,’ she said of former Wasps and England fly-half Cipriani, who joined McCord at the anniversary gala.
‘How amazing! I mean, he was one of the best rugby players in the world for almost 20 years. He could do his own stunts.

‘I don’t know if he’s going to go for it, but I’m going to continue pushing. We’ll see, you know, happy wife, happy life.’
When pressed on her marital status, McCord – who was not wearing a wedding ring – added: ‘I decline to comment.’
A spokesperson later confirmed to Daily Mail that the relationship is stronger than ever, adding: ‘Things are moving in that direction.’
McCord, who found fame in hit show The O.C, also admitted the former rugby ace can be prone to bouts of jealousy whenever he sees her kissing another man onscreen.
‘I would say he’s territorial and sexy,’ she said. ‘You know, as women, we love that.’
McCord was thought to be one of several women Cipriani, 37, dated following his painful separation from ex-wife Victoria in 2023, after four years of marriage.
Following their initial separation in January, an insider told Daily Mail: ‘Danny and AnnaLynne have decided to part ways.
‘They have known each other for years after meeting at on celebrity dating app Raya but being in an official relationship hasn’t worked out for them.

‘Danny was spending the majority of his time in America to be with AnnaLynne but since their split he has been at home, which is the biggest sign they’re over for good.
‘Their romance was very turbulent, Danny is going through a very difficult divorce and wasn’t able to give AnnaLynne everything she needed.
‘Being in another serious relationship wasn’t something he wanted so soon after his separation from Victoria.’

Only 24-hours earlier, McCord was pictured wearing what appeared to be a bridal themed ivory gown while celebrating her 38th birthday with Cipriani.
Sharing a picture with Instagram followers, the former rugby player wrote: ‘Happy birthday to My Love. Your light shines so bright, as you see the light in everyone you meet.
‘You give your heart so effortlessly. You are creating a world of unity and love with your star dust everywhere you go.’

Pictures shared from their big day in 2017 found Cipriani in an untucked shirt, chinos and trainers while posing alongside his glamorous bride moments after the ceremony.
The low-key marriage came just six months after the couple lost their first child together while Victoria was 24 weeks pregnant.

Cipriani went official with McCord in April 2024, sharing photographs of the pair on Instagram alongside the caption: ‘My miracle… loving you is the easiest thing in the world.’
Responding to his post, McCord wrote: ‘I can’t believe it’s you. Thank you for showing up as you do in life. Thank you for choosing to walk through the fire.
‘Of course… because you’re you, the fire was the one in fear in that dynamic.’
In 2023, the actress discussed her previous addiction to sex and bondage, admitting in a podcast interview that she referred to her body as a ‘brothel.’
Her relationship with Cipriani came shortly after his separation from Victoria, who filed for divorce in August 2024.
She claimed the former rugby player blew £600 a month on drugs and messaged other women during their four-year marriage.

She was also left ‘humiliated’ by Cipriani’s romance with McCord, which followed numerous flings including with yoga teacher Eve Latil.
Speaking to The Sun last year, Victoria admitted she was ‘heartbroken’ after discovering messages between Cipriani and other women.
She said: ‘I was shocked, heartbroken. They weren’t sexts but they were telling women they were beautiful, and about the connections he felt. Not the kind of thing you want to read your husband sending.’
Cipriani’s drug taking became a problem in their relationship, according to Victoria, who said she was ‘upset’ by the amount he was consuming.
She added: ‘I got so sick of it. It started to upset me. Everyday he said he wouldn’t do drugs. Then by midday he’d be back on them.’

The mother, who has two children from different relationships, claimed Cipriani would eat mushroom laced chocolate bars and she wouldn’t know if he was on them or not as he ‘would function so well.’
She said: ‘One day he took a large amount and just lay on the floor. I thought I would be able to help him, and he said he wanted to stop taking drugs. Danny was taking loads of prescription drugs and I just said, ‘Enough is enough.’
Cipriani has previously admitted to taking cocaine, a crystallised toad psychedelic and to having so many magic mushrooms he became convinced his wife was trying to kill him.
The couple met through a mutual friend in 2019 and during the Covid lockdown, Victoria fell pregnant with the pair’s baby. They tragically lost their son, who they named River, in June 2020, at 23 weeks.

In 2007, he had a fling with Cheeky Girl Monica Irimia, who said they split because he ‘doesn’t want a steady relationship.’
Between 2008 and 2010, the sportsman was with Heart Radio presenter Kelly but their romance ended when Cipriani gave his phone number to a Las Vegas stripper.
Following his split from model Kelly, he spent time with US actress Lindsay Lohan after they connected in Los Angeles.
