Andy Carroll Deletes Instagram After Dagenham Debut and Personal Issues

Andy Carroll has deleted his Instagram account in the wake of his return to UK football and his daughters’ shared birthday. 

On Saturday, the former England international, 36, was sent off on his maiden start for non-league club Dagenham & Redbridge, after he joined the National League South side in July having called an end to his one-year stint at French outfit Bordeaux.

Following the loss, the striker appeared to be absent at his daughters’ birthday party – with Marvel turning five and Emilierose turning 16. The party was thrown by his ex Billi Mucklow, who is mother to Marvel, while Emilierose is from a previous relationship. 

Prior to deleting his account, he wished his girls a happy birthday yet in posts shared by Billi, who divorced Andi in 2024 after two years of marriage, the footballer was notably absent – however it has not been confirmed he did not attend. 

Adding to his woes, Andy’s relationship with influencer Lou Teasdale has suffered ups and downs and while the couple are currently together, they have been on and off in recent months – something football fans noted after his red card.

Andy made his debut for Dagenham & Redbridge last week, coming on as a substitute during their 5-2 defeat by Worthing after recovering from a troubling hamstring injury.

He was given a starting spot and the captain’s armband for Saturday’s FA Cup clash against Bedford Town – but was sent for an early shower after being given his marching orders with a red card in the 45th minute.

He signed for Dagenham & Redbridge on the same day the Daggers were purchased by a consortium of Qatari private investors. His signing stunned fans given his previous positions in top Premiere League clubs. 

Taking to Instagram after the match, fans penned: ‘Former Newcastle and Liverpool star Andy Carroll suffered a nightmare first start since returning to English football…

‘He was shown a straight card for Dagenham and Redbridge against Bedford in FA Cup qualifying… Not sure I’d ever see Andy Carroll get sent off at Bedford Town but it’s just happened! #FACup.’

Following his disastrous match, on Monday, Billi, who also shares Arlo, 10, and Wolf, seven with Andy, posted a slew of snaps and videos from Emilierose and Marvel’s birthday party. Emilierose’s brother Lucas is also from Andy’s previous relationship. 

Billi pulled out all the stops for the big day, including gifting Emilierose a goodie from Chanel, as well as creating individual cakes and balloon displays for the kids.

In attendance at the party was her long-time best pal and fellow TOWIE star Cara Kilbey and her brother Sam’s girlfriend and TOWIE star Shelbey Tribble. 

Andy did not appear in any of the clips, although he did share a birthday tribute to his girls before deleting his Instagram account over the weekend. 

Billi and Andy confirmed their divorce last year after secretly separating earlier in 2014, having been together for 11 years. 

Andy said in a statement: ‘Billi and I have privately separated earlier this year and we are under way with our divorce proceedings. It has been a hard few months for our family and we continue to move forward amicably for our children.’

The build up to their 2022 nuptials was overshadowed by Andy’s debauched stag do, when he was pictured lying in bed asleep next to glamorous bar manager Taylor Jane Wilkey in a Dubai hotel room.

Taylor also posed for snaps wearing one of his personalised bathrobes. Andy flew to Dubai to gate-crashed Billi’s hen do, but stayed on with his pals as she jetted home.

Although she gave him a frosty reception upon his return, Billi forgave the striker and the wedding went ahead as planned.

Earlier this month, Andy hit back at speculation that he has split from Lou for the second time, posting a loved-up snap with her on Instagram Stories.

It had been alleged that the tumultuous couple had ended their relationship for a second time, after a make or break holiday failed to mend their romance.

However, Andy took to social media to share a sweet image with Lou confirming their relationship was still going strong.

The couple first split earlier this month after a series of rows, with initial reports claiming the footballer dumped the make-up artist, 41, after growing fed up with her high maintenance behaviour.

Daily Mail exclusively revealed it was in fact Lou who called off the relationship, and just four days later, Andy revealed they had decided to reconcile.

A source had also previously told The Sun that while they ‘tried to make things work, they were just too different,’ though Andy’s post has put an end to split claims.

Three weeks ago, a close friend of Andy’s claimed the footballer thought their split was a ‘mistake,’ with it later being reported that he ‘begged for one last chance’.

At the time Andy had vowed to cut down on alcohol in a bid to save his relationship with Lou, as he confirmed the pair were trying ‘to work through their difficulties’.

He told The Sun on Sunday: ‘I love Lou and I love her family. We row like any couple.’

Referring to his divorce from wife Billi Mucklow, who he shares three children with, Andy added: ‘Things have been difficult for me and I’m going through a divorce.

‘Some of our rows have been about alcohol, as Lou has been teetotal for 14 years and I have a beer or wine at dinner and a drink after the game, but it’s not a problem in my life. We’re better off together and we’re trying to work through our difficulties.’

The pair, who were together for just over a year, unfollowed each other on social media after their first split and Andy wiped all trace of Lou from his Instagram.
