Andrew Garfield has questioned whether romances with co-stars can really work.
The actor, 41, who has dated and been linked to a string of high profile women, debated the longevity of on-set relationships as he sat down for a very flirty Chicken Shop interview with Amelia Dimoldenberg.
During the highly-anticipated chat, The Amazing Spider-Man star asked whether the host actually hoped to find ‘the one’ during the interview series, which are framed as dates at a local chicken shop.
Responding to the film star – who’s split from his girlfriend was recently revealed – Amelia, 30, said: ‘Yeah. Do you not?’, before adding: ‘But isn’t it just like meeting someone at work, except I’ve made [my work] into a date?’
Amelia then switched things up and referred to Andrew’s workplace which is the entertainment industry, with the actor then throwing doubt on workplace romances as he questioned: ‘Yeah, exactly. And how many of those relationships work out?’

After being urged to give an answer himself, Andrew went on to imply that dating one’s co-star rarely results in a long-term relationship as he shared: ‘I mean, it’s like, flash in the pan stuff, usually.’
Andrew is said to have previously romanced actress Shannon Woodward, actress Susie Abromeit, singer Rita Ora, model Christine Gabel, and model Alyssa Miller.
Meanwhile, his most famed relationship was with two-time Oscar winner Emma Stone, 35, who he dated for almost four years before splitting for good in 2015.
Andrew’s relationship chat comes after he quietly ended his romance with ethically non-monogamous, professional witch Kate Tomas.
The British 42-year-old spiritual mentor revealed she and the LA-born Brit – who were last spotted attending Wimbledon in London on July 14 – had split ‘months ago’.
Kate confirmed the end of their relationship in the Instagram comments on a post about her latest guided meditation last week.
While responding to Instagram user @felipe.reistavares, Kate wrote: ‘We broke up months ago but I’m sure he will be happy to know that he is loved.’
Meanwhile, she hit back at another Instagram user who implied she talked about the Hollywood hunk too much.

Responding to Instagram user @xoxstellz who told her to ‘stop talking about Andrew’ since he never spoke of her, she scoffed: ‘Sweetheart, the only people who ever talk about or centre a man in my life, work, business, and social media are women like you.’
The four-time divorcée – whose clients include Lena Dunham and Megan Mullally – had publicly spoken about her relationship with Garfield to The Sunday Times as well as on her podcast where she denied using magic spells to seduce him.
‘It’s not about the magic spells or manipulation,’ Kate said.
‘It has got nothing to do with how perfect their teeth are — thank you, Reddit — or whether they conform to conventional standards of beauty. People that are really attractive are full of charisma because they are authentically themselves and confidently anchored in that. Magic takes time. It can’t happen overnight.’

It’s unclear how long Tomas dated the two-time Oscar nominee but they were first pictured on a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham at Zinqué Malibu back on March 31.
A source previously told US Weekly of their romance: ‘Things are fairly new between Andrew and Kate, but she’s down to earth and he feels very comfortable with her. Andrew really appreciates the fact that Kate is very different from other women he’s dated. He thinks she has a great sense of humour and she’s easy to talk to.’
The Amazing Spider-Man star has previously vowed to never speak about his love life.
In 2021 he told Bustle that he actively strives to keep his private life private.
He said: ‘I’m not in the public eye to a great degree because I’ve designed it that way for myself. For my work, I’m fine with it, but otherwise I fight for my right for a private, personal life. My right to be ordinary. My right to be a mess. My right to be sorrowful. My right to lose, to get it wrong, to be stupid, to be a person.’
