Ana Navarro has revealed she ‘lost a toenail’ after wearing uncomfortable high heels for four consecutive nights at the Democratic National Convention, and even shared a photo of her injury on social media.
Ana, 52, took to Instagram on Monday and posted a close-up picture of her left foot featuring a couple of painful-looking blisters as well as her nail-free toe – which she blamed on partying ’til the wee hours of dawn’ in inappropriate footwear.
The View host, who recently showed her support for President Joe Biden, captioned the post: ‘Y’all… the DNC just about did me in. When I was younger, I didn’t get invited to all the cool things.
‘Now, I get invited to great events, and if I had any damn sense, I’d realize I am too old and tired to be going out til the wee hours of dawn.
‘But of course, I tried to keep up with the cool-kids. For four consecutive nights. Partied like if I was a member of The Rolling Stones. And wore such great clothes and shoes (thanks, @frantaylorstyled & @ashleyfudd).

‘Now, I have blisters, cuts, and lost a toe nail. I would do it all over again… but maybe in Birkenstocks. #yolo,’ she added, and her 790,000 followers were quick to comment on the explicit photo.
‘The price of being cool and popular,’ one person complimented her, while another wrote: ‘You even lost a nail! Poor baby!! Hope the feet feel better soon!!!’
A third person observed: ‘But the nail polish seemed to have hung in there!’ while a fourth claimed: ‘You have to wear comfortable shoes over 40.’
Someone else advised: ‘Go to all the events. Just wear some cute Nikes or converse like the teens do these days with their fancy prom dresses. Save your feet!!’
‘Ouch… bless your heart! Worthwhile battle wounds!’ another fan wrote, while a different person simply told her: ‘Cute toes Ana.’
Other fans were quick to praise Ana for her role as host at the DNC on August 20, when she took to the stage at Chicago’s United Center to show her support for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.
The political strategist and commentator looked stunning as she flaunted her weight loss in a baby blue, off-the-shoulder midi-length dress which she teamed with a pair of silver and perspex heels.
During her speech, Ana compared Republican candidate Donald Trump to the communist regime in Nicaragua that she previously fled as a child.
‘Donald Trump and his minions call Kamala a communist. I know communism. I fled communism from Nicaragua when I was eight years old. I don’t take it lightly,’ she said.

The TV star also bumped into former President Barack Obama backstage on the night that she made her speech
‘And let me tell you what communist dictators do. And it’s never just for one day. They attack the free press,’ she wrote in a follow-up message on Instagram, summarizing her words on stage at the DNC. ‘Do any of those things sound familiar? Is there anybody running for president who reminds you of that?’
The TV star also shared snaps of her interaction backstage with former President Barack Obama and joked in her caption: ‘Michelle was on stage. So somebody had to fix @barackobama’s tie. @chacha_cardenas and I were happy to help out,’ referring to her beloved pet pooch.
She then added of the photos: ‘Context: This was the moment he walked out of his dressing room to go on stage, last night. There were dozens of ppl lining the halls hoping to catch a glimpse (sic).
‘He was walking focused and intently, not stopping. But when he saw me, he stopped to say hello. I first met him in 2007, when he came to Miami on a book tour. Have been with him many times since.
‘I voted against him & Biden twice – in 2008 and 2012. But it was never personal. I never doubted his decency, capacity and moral compass. He is a good man. And though I disagreed with some of his policies, there is no doubt, he brought elegance and grace to the Oval Office.
‘I tell you that story as a reminder of a time -before Trump- when we could disagree politically without hating each other.’
