Amy Schumer Shows Off 40lb Weight Loss in NYC After Taking $1.25M Home Off the Market

Amy Schumer showcased her substantial weight loss – courtesy of Mounjaro – while taking a make-up free, Sunday stroll near Central Park in Midtown Manhattan.

The 44-year-old comedian is the skinniest she’s looked in decades thanks to the trendy GLP-1 agonist drug she began taking earlier this year to shrink her 5ft7in frame.

‘Amy definitely has lost a lot of weight in the past three months ,’ functional nutritionist Monica Partier told the Daily Mail on October 24.

‘She seems to have dropped at least 40lbs and is around 130lbs now, which is very slender for a woman who is 5ft7in. And she looks a lot happier and proud of her improved wellbeing, which is nice to see.’

Schumer – who underwent liposuction in 2022 – has even started posting selfies of her taut tummy and her Instagram account has become filled with glamour shots of her new body.

On April 9, the Emmy-winning producer – who boasts 16.6M social media followers – gushed: ‘I’m loving being on Mounjaro and I haven’t found that it’s affected anything [side effects wise].’

Schumer previously had a ‘horrible experience’ taking Ozempic in 2022 because she was bedridden due to nausea.

‘I was like, vomiting — and then you have no energy. But other people take it, and they’re all good. So, God bless them,’ the native New Yorker recalled on The Howard Stern Show January 29.

‘I was vomiting and I’m in bed and my [six-year-old son Gene] was like, “Can you like play tag?” And I’m like, “I can’t.” I was, like, shriveling. I lost 30lbs so quick. I looked great and I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow, so what’s the point?!’

The FDA has only approved three GLP-1 drugs specifically for weight loss – the semaglutide Wegovy, the liraglutide Saxenda and the tirzepatide Zepbound – and the rest are specifically for patients suffering from type 2 diabetes.

Celebrities who’ve admitted to taking the diabetic injectables include Oprah Winfrey, Kathy Bates, Kelly Clarkson, Whoopi Goldberg, Serena Williams, Meghan Trainor, Elon Musk, Rebel Wilson, Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, Sharon Osbourne and Tori Spelling.

But for every celebrity who admits to hopping aboard the Ozempic train, there are many more who’ve remained suspiciously silent while slimming including Selena Gomez, Mindy Kaling, Melissa McCarthy, Khloé Kardashian, Demi Lovato, Lana Del Rey, Christina Aguilera and Ricki Lake.

On Monday, Realtor.com revealed that Schumer got ‘cold feet’ about selling her $1.25M two-bedroom ‘dream’ home in New Orleans’ French Quarter, which she had just put on the market October 26 after four years of owning it.

The official FQR Realtors listing for the 1,967-square-foot property, built in 1886 and renovated in 2022, has now vanished.

The Room to Move producer and her husband of seven years, Chris Fischer, are also trying to unload the five-bedroom Brooklyn brownstone made famous in the 1987 movie Moonstruck for $12.75M after only three years of owning it.

Schumer and the 45-year-old chef enlist a nanny called Jane and they have three frozen embryos to eventually provide a sibling, via surrogate, for their six-year-old son Gene.

The Midi Health investor met Chris – who has Asperger’s Syndrome – through her personal assistant (his sister) just five months before tying the knot.
