Amy Poehler is looking back on the time she got into a verbal spat with a man on a plane.
Ana Gasteyer, 58, was a guest on the latest episode of 54-year-old Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, and recalled the incident.
‘I remember being on a plane with you. You got into a fight with a guy,’ she said.Â
Referencing her now-23-year-old daughter, she continued, ‘Baby Frances was on the plane with us. The guy got mad that you were swearing in front of the baby.’
Poehler — who was just called out by James Cameron — elaborated, ‘It’s a long story, but what happened was a guy — a first-class guy, which we were in first class too — was like, “Excuse me, I’m trying to… You’re being too loud in first class.” My Boston came out, let’s just say that.’
Gasteyer described the confrontation as ‘the best thing I’ve ever seen.’

Poehler and Gasteyer worked alongside each other on the 2004 comedy Mean Girls, which was written by Tina Fey.
The movie was filmed less than a year after Gasteyer gave birth to her daughter.
In the iconic movie, Gasteyer portrayed Cady’s (Lindsay Lohan) mother, while the Saturday Night Live alum starred as Regina’s (Rachel McAdams) mom.Â
Elsewhere in the podcast chat, Gasteyer said she still remembers when Fey was in the stage of writing the feature film.
‘I remember hanging out with you in that hotel one night and having drinks. I have a memory of [Tina] sitting at the table and saying, “I think I’m going to try to option this book. It’s incredible,”‘ she reflected.
The Good Hang Instagram account teased the actress’ appearance on the show earlier this week.
‘Come hang with @amypoehler and special guest @anagasteyer tomorrow!’ read a caption accompanying a selfie of the two stars.
Another teaser included the caption: ‘Bring out the carols because it’s our Christmas episode with @anagasteyer!’Â
‘It’s a long story, but what happened was a guy – a first-class guy, which we were in first class too – was like, “Excuse me, I’m trying to [rest]. You’re being too loud.” My Boston came out, let’s just say that,’ the comedian said

The latest podcast episode comes after Avatar director Cameron slammed Poehler in a new interview with The New York Times.Â
He expressed his displeasure with a joke the blonde entertainer made over ten years ago at the 2013 Golden Globes.Â
At the time, she’d used his short-lived marriage with Kathryn Bigelow as a punchline.Â
Cameron had been nominated for his political thriller Zero Dark Thirty, which included depictions of torture.
During the show’s opening monologue, Poehler quipped:Â ‘When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron.’
Recalling the moment, Cameron said: ‘Amy Poehler’s remark was an ignorant dig, at an event which is supposed to be a celebration of cinema and filmmakers, not a roast.’
