Amy Dowden looked to be having a great holiday with her husband Ben Jones as she took to Instagram to share an array of snaps from her trip on Sunday.

The Strictly professional, 33, is currently away in the Algarve, Portugal and she shared a sweet kiss with her husband in the pool as the pair put on a loved up display.

The dancer, who had a high-profile battle with breast cancer and has undergone a mastectomy and chemotherapy in the past year, looked positively radiant in the snaps.

Posing in a solo shot, she cut a stylish figure in a leopard print floaty beach dress, straw sunhat and shades.

She captioned the snap: ‘1. It’s vacay mode’ before posting a final snap of her holding a bucket of Moet champagne as she added: ‘Why not’.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the star also reinforced the importance of wearing sun cream as she shared a snap of her bottle of factor 50.

She added: ‘Always now! How cancer has changed me!’

Commenting on the post her friend and fellow Strictly dancer Dianne Buswell wrote: ‘Enjoy every moment’.

Amy then replied: ‘@diannebuswell before the @bbcstrictly fun! Can’t wait to be back with you xxxxx’.

The star confirmed earlier this month she will be returning to Strictly this September after having to take time away from the show amid her treatment last year.

She has since been told there is no evidence of the disease in her body after undergoing treatment.

However, due to the nature of her cancer, Amy won’t receive the ‘all clear’ until five years have passed.

After the news of her return was revealed on Monday, Amy took to Instagram to share her delight at being back to doing what she loves. The news came just two days after she marked the one year anniversary of her first surgery following her diagnosis.
