Strictly’s Amber Davies is reportedly treating every week on the show as her last as backlash intensifies against her dance experience.
The Love Island winner and West End Star, 29, found herself in the dance off this weekend and was nearly sent home.
Amber has been criticised for having years of dance experience in West End productions prior to appearing on the BBC dance show, and television viewers failed to vote for the star despite her high scores.
And now The Sun reports that pals fear she could be soon sent home due to the criticism.
They claim that the fact she ended up in the bottom two proves her background actually gives her no advantage.
A source told the publication: ‘Amber was gutted but is seeing this as a chance for a fresh start and is putting her best foot forward.

‘She’s genuinely loving the opportunity even if she can’t do anything to change the viewers’ mind about her background. What she can do, though, is enjoy every minute and treat every week as if it’s the last.
‘Throughout there has been all of this noise about her dance training giving her an advantage, but it’s not helped her here, and it just goes to show no one is safe.’
A representative for Amber has been contacted by Daily Mail for comment.
On Sunday Amber confessed she was feeling like ‘trash’ after the ‘gut-wrenching’ dance off, which saw Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink be eliminated.
Amber and the former Chelsea footballer, 53, found themselves in the bottom two despite both being two of the highest scorers of the week.
Amber and Nikita Kuzmin scored 33 for their Cha Cha Cha to Break Free by Ariana Grande, meanwhile Jimmy and Lauren Oakley scored 30 for their American Smooth to Purple Rain by Prince.
But after performing again, judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke unanimously voted to keep Amber in the competition.

And after she took to Instagram to confess that she felt like ‘trash’ as she held up a framed picture of her and Nikita on Strictly.
In the clip, she posed over a voice-over that said: ‘I woke up this morning and I felt like absolute garbage, for anyone who wants to know what garbage is, that is French for trash’.
Alongside the post, she penned: ‘A gut-wrenching evening in the dance off, especially dancing against two of the most amazing people I’ve met on this experience, @official_jfhasselbaink & @laurenmayoakley.
‘I feel extremely lucky & thankful to be able to experience Halloween week on Strictly, but there will be two very special people missed.
‘If you voted for us, really really thank you, I guess this week we aim for a comeback week?! Thank you for holding my extremely shaky hands extra tight’.
Last week Amber passionately defended her place on the show after critics slammed her for having professional dance training.
She told the Daily Mail that she has worked her ‘a*** off’ to make a name for herself in the elite world of musical theatre, starring in shows including 9 to 5, Back to the Future and Legally Blonde.
Her rise to stage stardom wasn’t easy, Amber had to work twice as hard to be recognised in a notoriously tough industry, following years of sacrifice from her working-class parents.
In 2017, Amber won the ITV2 reality show Love Island, a year that saw the series capture the nation and catapult its contestants to overnight fame.
Now she’s hoping to win over the Strictly audience after being drafted in at the eleventh hour to replace fellow Love Island alumni Dani Dyer, who was forced to withdraw after fracturing her ankle.
Speaking exclusively, Amber said: ‘We see the same thing over and over again and I feel like it doesn’t matter what I say or how I feel, if I’m struggling, people will of course have things to say because I do musical theatre.

‘I have worked my a*** off to be taken seriously in the musical theatre world, and I feel like I have been working so hard.
‘The musical theatre world is actually quite small so once you work hard, you are committed, consistent in your job and are a good company member, you can build your reputation quite quickly within the industry.
‘For me, growing up in the spotlight, it’s a lot less about what other people think of me and how I feel about myself.
‘I came from a working-class family, and my mum and dad worked so hard so that me and my sister could do singing lessons, acting lessons, it’s in my DNA, I will always work as hard as I possibly can. As long as I am fulfilling my full potential that’s all that matters to me.’
