Who does Millie Mackintosh think she’s kidding in her latest soul-bearing, tear-stained Instagram post?
She wants to ‘speak openly about my experiences with anxiety, ADHD and depression,’ apparently, ‘because I know how much it helps to hear that you’re not alone.’
Well, if you really are trying to remodel yourself as a mental health advocate, you’re all alone on this one, Millie.
To me this is little more than an attempt by yesterday’s Made In Chelsea ‘star’ to grab a few headlines and re-energise a faded Insta fanbase.
Millie has certainly not been shy about previous difficulties with drink and drugs, some of which she outlined in her book, Bad Drunk: How I Found Freedom From Alcohol back in January.

Now, she and ex-husband, rapper Professor Green, are choosing to reunite over their mental health torments and ‘mutually undiagnosed ADHD’, which stands for the ailment de nos jours, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Do they honestly think they can draw a veil over their substance-sodden marriage by playing the ADHD card?
Shouldn’t mutually abusive drug and alcohol behaviour in any marriage just be called out for what it is: narcissists dragging each other down – then hiding behind a convenient mental health condition?
And is it pure coincidence that Millie’s compassionate reinvention coincided with the revelation from Green that they’re ‘back in touch’ – despite one of the most acrimonious and high-profile splits in showbiz history?
They’ve hardly spoken since their toxic divorce in 2016, after three years of marriage.
And when song-writer Green tells a podcast that he holds no ‘resentment’ towards the woman he now describes as my ‘beautiful ex-wife’, isn’t that just one more calculated manoeuvre in a cynical public relations operation?
Presumably, we should forget Green’s cruel tweets after pictures emerged of Millie and new husband Hugo Taylor on a romantic getaway looking the worse for wear.

‘London’s Gurning,’ wrote Green at the time, adding that ‘Money really can’t buy you class, can it?’ – a reference to the fact Millie, heiress to the Quality Street chocolate fortune, was privately educated while he came from an impoverished East London background.
It is laughable to see the couple now appearing to bury the hatchet – and not in each other’s heads – in a bout of supposed mutual respect.
Today, according to Millie, 36, she and Green, 41, are sharing ‘their trauma bond’ for the very first time.
What an insult to those whose lives really are blighted by a truly debilitating condition.
Question one: why reveal all this in public if it really was such a painful and soul-searching experience for both of them?
Question two: what does the condition she described as ‘mutually undiagnosed neurodivergence’ even mean?
Now, Millie Mackintosh and ex-husband Professor Green are choosing to reunite over their mental health torments and ‘mutually undiagnosed ADHD’, which stands for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
The claim that they divorced because they both had undiagnosed ‘50 per cent’ ADHD seems particularly strange. Is there any such thing as ‘50 per cent’ ADHD?
I believe the real motive driving Millie’s latest revelations is her hunger to reconnect with her former – and lucrative – Made in Chelsea fan base. As an influencer with a range of endorsements, she was once said to be worth $4million.
As she says in her recent posts: ‘Hi. I’m Millie, let me re-introduce myself.’
That’s before she prepares her lunch – a lentil and broccoli salad (for one) – and shares tearful pictures of her blubbing, make-up free on a pillow. We also get to see photos of Millie in happier times, looking joyful on her wedding day to Hugo Taylor along with children Siena, five and Auralia, three.
In yet another of those Insta posts, Millie is is happy to remind us of her money-making credentials.
‘These days, I create lifestyle content across fashion, beauty, wellbeing at home, with plenty of mum moments, honest chats and humour along the way,’ she explains.
‘Thanks for being here whether you’ve followed me for years or only just found my page @milliemackinstosh,’ she adds. ‘I’m so grateful to have you along for the ride.’
The ADHD that really seems to sum up the life of desperate, publicity seeking Millie is Alcoholic, Druggie, Hedonist Desperado.
