Amanda Owen has been left devastated as she announced the death of her beloved family dog to fans.
The TV farmer, 51, took to social media to share the heartbreaking update with her loyal fan base this week.
Posting on Instagram, the mother-of-nine shared a sweet snap of their four-legged companion alongside the caption ‘Mourning #Chalky.’
She also shared footage of Chalky’s final outings at their Ravenseat Farm in Yorkshire.
Amanda said: ‘Chalky’s adventures continued even when her mobility was limited. She never paused.’
She added: ‘Always the traveller and known affectionately as Chalky Trailarse, she just came along with us, whatever task we were undertaking.’

Other snaps showed Amanda and her ex-husband Clive Owen’s young children gathered as they said one final goodbye to their pet.
Amanda had been keeping fans updated about her dog’s deteriorating health in recent times and previously said how Chalky was ‘fading’ after living a fulfilling life.
Fans flooded Amanda with condolences, with one writing: ‘So sorry �� what a fabulous life he had with you all.’
A second replied: ‘I’m sorry to hear Chalky died, what a family he had to be young and grow older with, you could see he was truly loved, sending you all big hugs.’
”m really sorry to hear Chalky has died. Amanda. Sending love to you and all of your family,’ said a third.
While a fourth commented: ‘So sad when you lose a dog. Sending you love.’
Meanwhile, Amanda has defiantly defended herself after she posted a video wearing a bikini while on horseback.
Appearing on Loose Women on Wednesday, the farmer insisted she feels ‘reinvigorated’ since turning 50 and even considered posing naked.

She also shared another snap of her pet memorial box for the family’s beloved pet, which featured sweet goodbye messages on the top and green painted paw prints
In a recent update to Instagram she stripped down to a bikini and jumped on a horse and vowed to ‘ride out the storm’ of negative comments.
Speaking to Jane Moore on the ITV talk show, Amanda said: ‘Since becoming 50 I have had a reawakening, and having teenagers helps.
‘I feel invigorated and like I have reinvested myself. It’s something that I have missed.’
She added: ‘The internet got off lightly because I could have gone full Lady Godiva. I was having one of those days where I was feeling really strong.
‘I put it out there not expecting it to get the reaction it did, but you can’t please everyone.’
