Amanda Kloots had encouraging words for Charlie Kirk’s widow Erika Kirk in the wake of the conservative activist’s death on September 10.
The 43-year-old media personality shared a heartfelt message on the forthcoming episode of Richard Taite’s We’re Out of Time podcast.
Per a preview shared by Us Weekly, Amanda recalled advice she received from her mother-in-law when her husband Nick Cordero died of Covid-19 in 2020 at age 41.
Amanda and Nick shared six-year-old son Elvis.
‘My late mother-in-law, Nick’s mother, told me when Nick was in the hospital, she said, “[Your son] Elvis will save you, and his smile every day will make you want to get up and live.” It’s true.’
She added, ‘And that’s what I would tell [Erika] — that your kids, like… you have a purpose.’

Amanda explained about the grieving process, ‘You go through this time where you’re like, “What’s my purpose? Why did this happen?”
‘I told Nick when he died, I was like, “I will be the best mom to this kid. I will show [him] the world.”‘
And per Us Weekly’s account, she got emotional while discussing her husband on what would have been his 47th birthday.
‘It’s a tough day, but you want to know what? You are a good mother,’ host Richard said to comfort Amanda. ‘I can tell. You’re very present. He’s your whole world, and you’ve honored this man. I can tell you, he’d be very, very proud. That I’m certain of.’
Amanda marked her husband’s birthday with a social media tribute.
She shared a photo of the actor as a little boy, one of him with their son when he was a baby, and another of Nick with a birthday cake.
‘This little guy would have been 47 years old today!’ she began the caption. ‘Happy heavenly birthday @nickcordero1.’

She continued, ‘Elvis said that today you’ll get to eat cake with God and I added “and sing with Prince”, which I imagine would be his birthday wish in heaven.
‘The second and third pictures are how he woke up on his 41st birthday and the last one was him making his birthday wish.’
Erika delivered a heart-wrenching eulogy in front of 200,000 mourners at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium on Sunday afternoon, as part of her husband’s memorial.
During her statement she announced that she has publicly forgiven the man accused of assassinating her husband, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.
And she revealed a marital ritual she and Charlie practiced — exchanging love notes.
‘Someone once asked me how Charlie and I kept our marriage so strong when he was busy traveling,’ she shared. ‘Our little secret: It was love notes. Every Saturday, Charlie wrote one for me, and he never missed a Saturday.’
