George Clooney and Amal Clooney exuded megawatt Hollywood glamour as they welcomed a dazzling array of showbiz heavy hitters to their second annual Albie Awards in New York on Thursday.
The Albie Awards are held by the Clooney Foundation For Justice, which bills them as being for ‘courageous defenders of justice who are at great risk for what they do.’
They were named for Justice Albie Sachs, an internationally famous South African jurist subjected to jail and then exile for his activism against the apartheid regime.
This year’s honorees included a Ukrainian NGO, a Congolese anti-rape activist and the two Iranian journalists who broke the story of the police killing that ignited their country’s Woman Life Freedom uprising.
For her latest red carpet appearance, Amal draped her statuesque figure in a white sequined gown that featured a small train and matched her tiny clutch.

Meanwhile George, plumping for the silver fox look with a white beard and distinguished salt-and-pepper hairdo, modeled his signature classic tuxedo as he posed on his wife’s arm.
