Alyson Stoner Recalls Traumatic Rape by ‘Beloved Colleague’

Alyson Stoner opened up about a harrowing story detailing how they were once allegedly sexually assaulted by a colleague.

The actor — who uses they/them pronouns — claimed they ‘blacked out’ when they were attacked after a wellness event by a man who was allegedly ‘well-adored in the community.’

Stoner, now 32, shared the shocking allegation in their new memoir: Semi-Well-Adjusted Despite Literally Anything, which was released Tuesday.

‘The world blurred as my mind completely disconnected from my body,’ Stoner, who starred alongside Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato in the Camp Rock film franchise,
wrote in their memoir, per Us Weekly.

‘The last image I saw was a poster on the wall of a ravenous feline leaping for its prey. Then I blacked out and he raped me.’

During that time, Stoner had taken a hiatus from acting and was transitioning away from content creation.

The former child star had started working towards becoming a full-time mental health professional and advocate for current child actors and influencers.

The Disney alum said the alleged sexual assault occurred after she ran into the colleague at an unnamed wellness event.

The two allegedly ended up alone together after Stoner accepted the colleague’s invitation to learn more about his products.

Stoner did not reveal their alleged attacker’s name in their memoir before detailing how he allegedly treated them like ‘an inanimate object.’

‘He opened the door to a room on the first floor of an apartment building,’ they wrote before remembering the thought that crossed their mind at the time.

‘Is this his lab or his residence? It was common for entrepreneurs and creatives to have live-work spaces, but this looked nothing like the setup from the photos he showed me.’

Stoner claimed that the man’s place had ‘no chairs to sit on’ and they ended up sitting on the floor.

They recalled feeling ‘uncomfortable’ that they noticed the man’s ‘eyes focused on my crotch.’

‘His eyes burned a hole in my body as he calculated his next move. Suddenly, his hand reached to grab my crotch, and I swatted him away.’

Stoner remembered how they were crying when the man, who was bigger than them, allegedly overpowered and trapped them in a small corner of his room.

‘Still on the floor, he wrestled me toward the back corner of the room as I fought back tears. With one arm, he lifted my whole body onto his bed, which was tucked into a recessed nook with three walls enclosing it.’

When the alleged assailant tried to ‘remove’ their clothes, Stoner said their ‘legs fused together and I didn’t move.’

‘I briefly exited my body to go into analytical survivor mode: Stay present and list your options. You know what might happen. How can you get out of this alive? Your phone is out of reach. If you scream, he might muffle you.

‘If you run for the door, he’s massive and will beat you there and maybe make it more painful,’ they added.

Stoner recalled feeling themselves becoming ‘more and more trapped and unable to function.’

However, the Disney alum said they fought through the ‘dread’ and was able to get their attacker to stop.

‘Like a child trying to fool his parents, he stopped communicating and pretended to fall asleep instantly, though his body was visibly charged with energy. I tried to match his nonchalance and deescalate the situation.’

But Stoner claimed the man continued to assault them anyway.

‘There was no reasoning or physically fighting my way out. My defenses waned as his hands pulled my pants to my knees, flipping me to the side where I could momentarily see his bare body in my periphery.

‘He separated my legs like I was an inanimate object.’

In their memoir, Stoner also opened up about their experience in Hollywood — just shortly after they shared a story about how they were fired from a kids’ show after first coming out as queer.

In a 2018 Teen Vogue interview, they claimed it was ‘definitely discrimination’ when they were let go from a show they opted out of naming.

‘I did end up getting fired from a children’s show beccause they felt that I was unsafe, now that they knew I was queer to be around kids,’ they said on the I’m Literally Screaming podcast in June 2023.
