Allison Mack Reveals Disturbing Truth About Marriage That ‘Horrified’ Her Mom

Former Smallville actress Allison Mack is finally confronting the darkest chapters of her life, including the marriage that horrified her mother.

The disgraced star, who served time for her role in the NXIVM sex cult, has opened up on her podcast Allison After NXIVM, peeling back layers of manipulation, misguided loyalty and the haunting cost of devotion to cult leader Keith Raniere.

In episode three, Mack, 43, addressed one of the most disturbing questions surrounding her NXIVM years: her 2017 marriage to Battlestar Galactica actress Nicki Clyne, a fellow member of the secretive group’s inner circle.

What many once assumed was a romantic union was, she admitted, a transaction born of desperation and psychological control.

‘Nicki was another one who didn’t really like me very much. I was too much for her,’ Mack confessed. ‘She didn’t like how performative I was, and didn’t like how outgoing I was, and loud I was, and sort of boisterous and gregarious and stuff.’

Host Natalie Robehmed noted that both women were ‘frontline DOS slaves’ who had been sleeping with Raniere.

‘We were like sister wives, essentially. Even if that’s not what I initially thought it was, that was ultimately what it ended up being,’ Mack responded bluntly.

When Clyne faced deportation, Mack said she agreed to marry her, not out of love, but a warped attempt to win approval within the group.

‘I already know I’m not going to marry somebody else. What’s the difference? We’re basically married anyway. So why not?’ Mack recalled.

The ceremony, she said, was disturbingly casual.

‘Her mom and her and I went to a Justice of the Peace, the courthouse in L.A. somewhere, I think, and her mom was there to witness it,’ Mack recalled.

Meanwhile, Mack’s own mother, Mindy, was left devastated.

‘I was hurt that she didn’t trust me,’ Mindy admitted during the same episode. ‘I think it’s because she knew that I would say, “What the hell are you doing?” Because it was Keith’s idea, of course. There was some stuff going on that was hurtful to me, that was extremely out of character for Allison.’

The marriage quickly crumbled.

In 2020, after Mack pleaded guilty to racketeering and conspiracy, she filed for divorce.

Now, years later, Mack’s personal life has taken another unexpected turn following her release from prison.

In Allison After NXIVM’s seventh episode, she revealed that she quietly married Frank Meeink, a reformed neo-Nazi and convicted felon who once served prison time for assault and kidnapping.

According to Us Weekly, the two wed in an ‘intimate backyard ceremony’ in June 2025.

Meeink has become a well-known advocate for civil rights and anti-extremism, having testified before a U.S. House subcommittee in 2020 about white supremacy in policing.

‘In some ways, Frank is a poster boy for changing your mind,’ Robehmed noted. ‘He now works at a nonprofit with unhoused people and connects them to resources.’

The couple met at a Los Angeles dog park in February 2024, nearly a year after Mack’s prison release.

Both, she said, were drawn to each other’s stories of survival and second chances.

After just one date, Mack told Meeink everything about NXIVM, and his empathetic response stunned her.

‘I just looked at her and said, “You know, I’m a former neo-Nazi who used to kidnap people. Do you think I have any room to judge you? … No, I don’t judge you at all,”‘ Meeink recalled.

He continued, ‘People don’t understand what it’s like when you get stuck in something like that. And it’s the one thing that validates you. It’s hard to get out.’
