Allison Langdon broke down in tears on Thursday evening during a moving segment about organ donation on A Current Affair.
The TV veteran, 45, was chatting to the father of Michael Gremmo, whose son Nathan tragically died at age 13 in a road accident in 2015.
Nathan went on to become an organ donor and ended up saving six other people.
During a chat to promote Jersey Day, which was established in Nathan’s memory to encourage a discussion about organ and tissue donation, Langdon made a heartbreaking admission.
‘Thank you. My sister is alive because of someone as special as Nathan,’ she began, choking back tears.
‘There’s not a day goes by that we don’t as a family think about them and think about their grief. There is no greater gift.’
Langdon then urged viewers to stand in solidarity with organ donors by wearing a jersey on Friday, August 30.
Allison’s sister Kristen received a life-saving pancreas-kidney transplant in 2014, after four years of searching for a suitable match.

Langdon went on to urge viewers to have the difficult conversation with their family about becoming an organ donor.
‘Tell your family your wishes, because the final decision is theirs. It’s not a conversation you usually have or want to have with young children.’
In 2010, Kristen’s health deteriorated after she gave birth to a little girl and within a year it was clear she needed to receive a kidney transplant.

Kristen was later put on dialysis and received a suitable donor kidney thanks to a life-saving operation in 2014.
Allison has previously called organ donation a gift.
In 2020, Langdon said her sister was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 11 and growing up her family were very mindful of the dangers it posed.
She is married to Michael Willesee Jnr, the son of former ACA host Mike Willesee.
They couple share a son and a daughter.
