Allison Janney, 65, Wows on Magazine Cover with Shirtless Model

Allison Janney stunned on the cover of IRK Magazine while being pinned against a shower wall by shirtless male model, Miles Thomas Nightingale, who’s half her age.

The 65-year-old Oscar winner admitted the seventies-inspired shoot made her ‘feel sexy’ while glamming up with Miles, whom she affectionately called her ‘on-camera partner in crime.’

‘When you get into the role — the glam, the clothes, the set — and Robert Ascroft is behind the camera, it lends itself to me accessing that place of sexual power inside. I find there is something sexy about a woman who is comfortable with herself — that’s sex appeal,’ Allison described.

‘I loved that era — the glamour, the decadence of it all… the hair, the make-up, and how transformative it was. I wish I could have walked down a runway back then. I felt that energy in our shoot — I was playing the part of what I was dressed in, and it was fabulous.’

The feeling was mutual for Nightingale who gushed that Janney was ‘amazing and talented’ and called the experience ‘nothing less than a true pleasure.’

The Everything’s Going to Be Great star – who never married nor had children – works hard to maintain her slim, statuesque 6ft figure.

‘Keeping up with my fitness and staying strong physically to endure the rigors of this business matters to me,’ Allison noted.

‘I work out a lot. The body is the vehicle, and I try to take care of it.’

And when asked how she unplugs after a long day on set, Janney simply replied: ‘Vodka.’

The seven-time Emmy winner currently portrays Ivy’s (Olivia Colman) steely divorce lawyer Eleanor in Jay Roach’s satirical black comedy The Roses, which only earned $19M at the global box office since opening last Friday.

The reimagining of Danny DeVito’s 1989 classic The War of the Roses (based on Warren Adler’s 1981 novel) also features Benedict Cumberbatch, Andy Samberg, and Kate McKinnon.

Allison next reprises her recurring role as POTUS Grace Penn in the eight-episode third season of Debora Cahn’s political thriller The Diplomat, which premieres October 18 on Netflix.

Janney will also reprise her role as Palm Beach socialite Evelyn Rollins in the 10-episode second season of Abe Sylvia’s wacky soap Palm Royale, which premieres November 12 on Apple TV+.

The Another Simple Favor’s other upcoming roles include Jim Rash’s funeral drama Miss You, Love You with Andrew Rannells as well as Nat Faxon and Jim Rash’s black market comedy The Heart with Sam Rockwell.

‘The more complicated the woman, the more tempting. It has to have complexity, an arc, a journey. It has to start in one place and end up somewhere transformed — for better or worse,’ Allison said of her choices.

‘I’m just happy to have made a career in this business that can be fickle and hard, and that I continue to work. I’m not acting for the awards or accolades, but they are nice.’

Janney first found fame in her breakout role as White House press secretary C. J. Cregg in Aaron Sorkin’s political drama The West Wing, which aired for seven seasons spanning 1999-2006 on NBC.
