Alex Warren Thrives at BRITs After Grammy Woes

Alex Warren took to social media Saturday to celebrate his successful BRITs performance following his Grammys disaster.

The 25-year-old shared a video of his performance of the nominated song Ordinary and captioned the post with 'I totally wasn't nervous'. 

Many fans showed their support with comments such as 'beautiful', 'superstar', 'this is extraordinary' as well as Alex's vocal coach who penned 'your vocal and performance and growth has been epic!' 

Another fan wrote 'thank god they didn't screw you over this time', referencing the technical challenge that arose during Alex's performance at the Grammys.

also took the stage with Alex and performed alongside on the piano.  

At the Grammy Awards last month, the singer was visibly stressed during the song because of a malfunction with his in-ears, which singers often use during live performances so they can hear the music beat clearly with no interference. 

After the challenging evening, he appeared on TikTok to give his 20 million followers insight into his experience on stage at Crypto.com Arena.

But even before Warren clarified exactly what threw his performance off, fans and Grammy Awards viewers took to social media to commend the influencer-turned-singer for his impressive recovery.

In his clip, Warren appeared in the same black tuxedo he wore on the Grammys red carpet while sitting in a chair.

'When you're performing at the  and all you hear is this in your ears...' he captioned the video.

The overlaying audio revealed a delay and echo in the music and vocals, and Warren feigned a scream of frustration.

He wrote in the caption, 'This would only happen to me.' 

The comments on his post were filled with supportive words, including one from Demi Lovato, who is intimately familiar with in-ear monitors.

'So impressed,' she wrote. 'U handled it so gracefully and sounded amazing!'

Trisha Paytas also praised Warren's performance, writing, 'You actually crushed it tho !!!!!!!' 

On X, several viewers said they were 'won over' by how Warren recovered from the brink of disaster.

The 46th edition of the  took place at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena for the first time on Saturday. 

Olivia Dean swept the floor as she took home four awards – winning in every category she was nominated for.

The British singer and songwriter, 26, won Best Artist, Best Album, Best Song and Best Pop Act.

In the Song of the Year category Olivia was nominated for two, for her single Man I Need, as well as her song Rein Me In with – which won.

Olivia, 26, became the first woman to claim the UK's No 1 single and album in the same week since in 2021, with her song Man I Need and album The Art Of Loving, both released in 2025. 

It was a completely different night for who didn’t take home any awards.

While she dominated the charts last year with the release of her fifth studio album West End Girl, Lily Allen failed to beat Miss Dean in categories Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Pop Act categories.

The singer, 40, used the album to chronicle the collapse of her marriage to Stranger Things star David Harbour, 50, and detailed his alleged affair with ‘Madeline’ whilst they were together.

Despite being nominated eight times previously, the Not Fair hitmaker has only ever won one BRIT award and did not attend this year's ceremony.
