The comedian, 49, left viewers in hysterics after a clip from the new series of his BBC DIY show with Amanda Holden went viral, showing him falling headfirst down a waterslide.
The hilarious moment came when the two pals took a visit to a waterpark while renovating their latest property in Greece.
Amanda persuaded Alan to take a turn on a slide called ‘The Black Hole’, warning: ‘It’s pitch black, you won’t see anything’, to which he nervously replied: ‘That sounds awful!’
Convinced to give it a go, he joked to the lifeguard: ‘Pray for me’ before pushing himself down the long tube, while sat in a large rubber ring.

However, the comic insisted he was done, saying: ‘I’m not going on anymore. It flipped me up! I hit my face on the thing.’

Such is his newfound pulling power that he’s been tipped for the biggest job on TV, with his name now in the ring to host Strictly Come Dancing after Claudia and Tess Daly quit.
There have also been whispers that he’ll be offered a new chat show, eight years after his programme Chatty Man was cancelled due to low ratings.
With Alan in high demand from various networks, he looks set to become as prominent as he was on TV during the Noughties and 2010s.
