Christina Aguilera has come under fire from her own fans following a one-off concert in Mexico City this week.
The songstress, 45, performed at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City on Tuesday, but made a hugely embarrassing blunder when she referred to it as '' on stage.
'I love you so much New Mexico!' she told the crowd, accidentally naming the US state instead of the Latin American country.
Fans also complained that she only performed for 55 minutes, with many claiming that a two-hour set had been advertised.
There were also countless complaints about the start time and Aguilera allegedly being late to perform, while others slammed the lacklustre stage production, which largely consisted of large plastic tarps draped over all the equipment – possibly due to the rainy weather.
Fans weren't shy about expressing their disappointment on social media, with one commenting, 'I was there, worst show ever. Omg I liked her but she gave Mexico a half-hearted low cost show.'

Another fan made light of the situation, posting to X, 'Christina Aguilera came to Mexico City, started one hour late, called it New Mexico and only performed a 55 minute set. Y’all could NEVER make me hate her!'
A third wrote, 'The show was extremely short. It didn't even last an hour, including interludes. She took the stage over an hour late for a 55 minute show. Many songs were shortened, the stage production was lackluster, the lighting was terrible, and she even mentioned New Mexico (the US state) instead of Mexico.'
Some fans were also disappointed by the lack of hits in Aguilera's setlist, with the diva skipping over some of her most notable chart-toppers, including Candyman and Come On Over.
Aguilera's Instagram is currently flooded with angry comments from Mexican fans, with many of the comments written in Spanish.
However, some fans have been more forgiving towards the former hitmaker, with one pointing out, 'In her defence, she said Mexico like three times before that end bit!'
Another wrote, 'If you actually knew, she’s been performing in different places every single day, she’s exhausted. One small mistake like that isn’t something to drag her for. At this point, she shouldn’t even go back to Mexico, some of y’all are just ungrateful.'
Others pointed out that Aguilera's recent concerts have all been around one hour, and that the Mexico City gig may have been misadvertised locally as a two-hour show without the star's knowledge.
'Her show in Oklahoma was only an hour, but it was an incredible hour. She is one of the greatest performers of all time. Her fans should really feel lucky they got to see her at all,' argued one fan.
Daily Mail has contacted Aguilera's management for comment.
