Avril Lavigne looked in great spirits as she stepped out with her new mystery man in West Hollywood on Monday evening.
The Complicated hitmaker enjoyed a dinner date at Catch Steak as she began a new chapter in her love life after her spilt from rapper Tyga in October last year.
The singer, 39, embraced her usual rock star chic style as she donned a pair of stylish velvet black flares.
Dressed head to toe in black, the star paired the fashionable trousers with a black T-shirt and black handbag while showing off her impressive array of arm tattoos.
Meanwhile Avril’s mystery date for the evening attempted to conceal his appearance under a black baseball cap.

Matching Avril’s style in a black leather jacket, black T-shirt and jeans, the man also sported a full beard and long brunette locks which peaked out from his hat.
The popstar grinned from ear to ear as the pair left the venue, Avril donning her signature smattering of heavy black eyeliner.
The outing comes after Avril officially brought her on-off romance with rapper Tyga to an end back in October.
They first went public with their romance last March, only for rumours to begin flying in June that they had broken up.
However they were then spotted together at a Las Vegas event over Fourth Of July weekend, igniting an explosion of conjecture that they were back on.
However an insider confirmed to People late last year that they only briefly got back together and their relationship was ‘totally over.’
Prior to her relationship with Tyga, Avril was engaged to American rapper Mod Sun.
The pair began dating in 2021 and their relationship quickly progressed, with the couple getting engaged the same year.

They shocked fans when it emerged they’d split in February in 2023 and Mod Sun said he was ‘blindsided’ when the singer called it quits.
The couple went their separate ways after a two-year romance – with his representative informing Page Six both he and Avril ‘were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour.’
TMZ reported that Avril had called off their engagement after the couple were ‘on and off’ for the past couple months.
While what exactly led to the split remains unclear, the tabloid says neither party were unfaithful to one another.
Avril has also been married twice after first walking down the aisle with Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, when she was just 22 years-old.
The couple got engaged in 2005 and tied the knot a year later in a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony at a private estate in the California coastal city of Montecito.

Avril walked down the aisle for the second time to Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger in a gothic South of France ceremony in 2013, but sadly the couple split two years later.
Despite going their separate ways the pair have remained good friends and continue to spend lots of time together.
