Vanessa Feltz was left red-faced on Wednesday’s This Morning as she was quizzed about her love life and confronted with a drunken video of herself.
The broadcaster, 62, appeared on the daytime show to discuss the morning’s headlines, which included the news that single people are shunning dinner dates due to the cost of living crisis.
Vanessa – who is said to have split from ‘Tinder’s Most Swiped Man’ Stefan-Pierre Tomlin, 33 – mused: ‘When a date is a disaster you can’t help thinking “Oh my God, how much have I eaten?” This guy, was he worth £18.99? Definitely not!”
Labour MP and show contributor Jess Phillips then asked: ‘Does he not pay, Vanessa?’ to which she replied: ‘When I don’t like them I don’t want them to pay.’
Wading in, This Morning host Ben Shephard probed: ‘So if they say shall we split the bill do you worry that they don’t like you?’

Vanessa shook her head as she replied: ‘I’m happy to split the bill. It’s not about the bill! If I don’t like them I just think a dinner is too long anyway.’
Ben then quipped: ‘Were you out on a date when this little clip occurred?’ as he played a video of worse-for-wear Vanessa sitting outside Piano Works bar.
In the clip, Vanessa slurred: ‘A whole load of prosecco and a really fast Piña colada and I just have to sit on the wall for a bit, that’s it, that’s all that’s happened.
‘The breeze, I need to the breeze.’
When quizzed if she was drunk, she responded: ‘You might say that, but I couldn’t possibly confirm that.’
As the camera cut back to Vanessa in the studio she wailed: ‘Oh stop it!
‘You’ve ambushed me. You’re cruel. My reputation is in tatters and wrecked.’
Refusing to let it drop, Ben asked: ‘So that wasn’t a date?’ as Vanessa explained: ‘No, it was a girls’ night out. It was a belter.’

Earlier this month it was claimed Vanessa had split from love interest Stefan-Pierre after a slew of romantic dates.
The TV host and ‘Tinder’s Most Swiped Man’ were said to have called it a day, remaining just friends, despite enjoying many intimate nights out together.
Vanessa and Stefan-Pierre, who recently spoke out about their blossoming relationship prior, first sparked dating rumours when they dined at renowned Sheesh restaurant in London’s Mayfair.
In the wake of her split from partner Ben Ofoedu, 51, Vanessa sparked a close relationship with Stefan which has now sadly fizzled out.
According to The Sun, a source said: ‘Stefan has been telling friends there’s nothing between him and Vanessa and that it was over before it begun.
He was a good distraction for her following her split from Ben, but they’re better off as friends.’
Late last month, Stefan revealed exclusively to MailOnline that ‘amazing’ Vanessa was a huge fan of his pheromones when she smelt his Pierre 47 aftershave, which markets at Selfridges, while they shared a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
He said: ‘She’s great. A gentleman never tells but she is the most amazing woman and she loves my new fragrance Pierre 47 with the pheromones. We had a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon blanc with dinner.
Vanessa and Stefan made their red carpet debut together in February as they posed together at the Vindication Swim premiere.
Speaking to The Mirror last year, Vanessa revealed she was keen to pursue someone her own age, confessing: ‘I’ve just spent 17 years with a man 10 years younger, so I’m considering not dating a younger man now.
‘Someone I can trust would be good and someone who meant what they said. I think it would be lovely to have somebody you could actually trust.’
