Former All Saints singer Melanie Blatt will be reportedly releasing her first single in 12 years in a huge career comeback.
The star, 49, shot to stardom while part of the legendary pop girl band which was formed in 1993 alongside Shaznay Lewis, sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton, and late Simone Rainford.
Now, more than 20 decades after the girls split in 2001, Melanie is going solo and will be soon releasing a brand-new single in collaboration with KDA.
‘Mel isn’t a very confident singer and it has taken a lot for her to get back in the studio,’ a source told The Sun.
‘But she has seen her bandmate Shaznay Lewis do it this year and wants to push herself.

‘The plan is for her song with KDA to come out soon and everyone around her is hoping it will encourage her to continue with more music.’
But this is not the first time for Melanie, who has already tried to take on a solo career in 2023 with her single Do Me Wrong, part of the namesake EP.
Earlier in the years she released some featuring tracks, including Ecstasy and Need Your Loving both with dance electronic duo Soul Clap.
That wasn’t the only time she took to an electronic beats as she also released Fall’s Away with DJ Fur Coat in 2012.
Mel’s exciting career move comes four months after one of her former band members Shaznay Lewis, who also launched her own solo career.
The All Saints boast the UK’s third-best-selling girl group album of all time, and were nominated for eight Brit Awards and won two – best British single and best British video for Never Ever in 1998.
Shaznay, 48, co-wrote most of the group’s songs, including number one singles: Bootie Call, Pure Shores and Never Ever, and will be using her talents on new records.
Now Shaznay is on her way to solo stardom after releasing the record Open in 2004.

At the time, a source told The Sun: ‘Shaznay is really well respected in the pop world because of her distinctive voice and talent for writing a brilliant tune.
‘She has quietly been writing for quite a while now and given All Saints aren’t active right now, and the anniversary is approaching of her first solo record, it felt like the perfect time.’

She has already lined up her first solo gig this year and will perform at Mighty Hoopla Festival in London’s Brockwell Park in June.

All Saints were formed back in 1993 by music manager Ron Tom who later went on to found the Sugababes.
Their debut self-titled album released in 1997 went on to become the third best-selling girl group album of all time.
Their single Never Ever is the second best-selling girl group single of all-time in the UK after the Spice Girls’ Wannabe.
Their second album Saints & Sinners, released in 2000, went straight to number one, however they split the following year following reports of in-fighting in the group.
All Saints eventually reformed in 2006 and released their third studio album Studio 1 but were dropped by their label when the record didn’t meet expectations.
Following a second split in 2009, All Saints reformed once more in 2014 and released the albums Red Flag in 2016 and Testament in 2018.
