An Australian influencer has given a scathing review of this week’s TikTok Awards.
The country’s best and brightest content creators descended on the ICC Sydney on Wednesday night for the glittering event.
However, the celebrations left a little to be desired according to Melbourne-based model and influencer, Frankie Evans.
Frankie, 28, who boasts 32,000 followers on TikTok, took to the platform on Thursday to give her unfiltered thoughts.
Pulling no punches, Frankie likened the event to a high school dance.
‘TikTok Awards – a couple of impressions. Might get me in trouble,’ she began the clip.

Frankie, who is currently dating AFL star Beau McCreery, admitted that she was left less-than-impressed with the overall vibe of the event and the comedy stylings of pre-show hosts Mitch Churi and Elle Ray.
‘Last night I re-attended my Year 10 formal. I feel like it was quite a tacky event,’ Frankie said.
‘The host started with: “Who’s done a s*** tonight? Let’s give a round of applause for the toilets’.
It wasn’t just off-colour jokes left Frankie flat, either, the model admitted that sitting inside the venue was quite the ‘foggy’ experience.
‘Creators and influencers were vaping inside,’ she shared.
‘The whole room was so foggy because of the vape, and I just thought that was extremely disrespectful.’
Frankie added that event security also had their work cut out for them – for a very surprising reason.
‘Security spent all night yelling at girls because everyone’s dresses kept getting caught in the escalators,’ she revealed.

Frankie also revealed that guests were forced to fork out for their libations – something she did not necessarily disagree with.
‘Everyone had to buy their own drinks which kind of brings influencers down to earth a bit which I liked,’ she said.
‘TikTok has a lot of money though so they probably shouldn’t be doing that.’
If that wasn’t bad enough, Frankie also shared that hungry and thirsty guests were left wanting for two-and-a-half hours.
‘But what I thought was the most messed up part of it all is from 5.30 until 6 o’clock, they shut all food and drinks, so you couldn’t even get a bottle of water,’ she said.
The crowd itself also left something to be desired, according to Frankie, who said there was little celebration of others’ accomplishments.
‘I think it was a very hard crowd to please,’ she said.
‘No one laughed at anything, no one was really that happy for people. Tall poppy syndrome in Australia is so real.’

It wasn’t all criticism, however, with Frankie signalling host Sophie Monk out for special mention, as well as singer Jude York, who performed an emotional rendition of ABBA’s Slipping through my fingers with his mother Liza.
‘An extremely strong side note – Jude York is incredible,’ Frankie gushed.
‘That [performance] was so moving and it brought me to tears. That was my highlight of the night.’
After her less-than-stellar experience, would Frankie attend the 2026 awards?
‘I’m super lucky and grateful to be invited, which is why I attended,’ she said.
‘All in all, would I go again? Probably, yes, because it’s a good networking event but, I don’t know.’
