AFL star Jayden Short is expecting his first child with his wife, Maddy Bekiaris.
The Richmond player, 29, revealed the exciting news on social media on Saturday, by sharing two black-and-white photobooth snaps which captured the happy couple posing with their ultrasound photo.
One precious picture showed the happy couple smiling brightly as Jayden held up their ultrasound while another showed him tenderly kissing his wife’s growing belly.
The couple, who tied the knot in January after a year-long engagement, looked absolutely radiant in the heartfelt photos.
They captioned the pictures with some exciting words: ‘Baby Short’, adding a love heart emoji.
Many of their celebrity friends took to the comment section to offer their well wishes.

In September 2023, Jayden announced his engagement to childhood sweetheart Maddy, and the pair tied the knot one year later.
The Richmond midfielder announced the happy engagement news on Instagram, after popping the question in Cinque Terre in Italy.
The couple couldn’t hide their delight as they beamed on a beach showing off the six-diamond wraparound ring.
The lovebirds captioned the image, ‘CIAO FIANCEE!!’ and were soon inundated with well-wishers.
‘Congrats again beautiful humans,’ wrote Tayla Broad, alongside several love heart emojis, before adding, ‘PS, I could stare at that ring all day’.

Jayden and Maddy have known each other for more than a decade and were mates back in 2012.
That was the year he made the AFL rookie draft and a year later he made his senior debut.
The veteran athlete has been with the Richmond Tigers since 2015 and has played almost 200 games with them.
