The production combines an original 1980s-inspired rock score, powerful theatrical storytelling, larger-than-life characters, and world-class professional wrestling into a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience that features unforgettable songs, emotional performances, romance, comedy and spectacle.
And unlike most West End productions, The Last Match will actively encourage audiences to capture photos, videos and share their experience on social media in real time.
Director Jeremiah James, who previously starred in the acclaimed 2008 West End revival of Carousel at London's Savoy Theatre, told Daily Mail that the production has 'something for everybody'.

'If you're a musical theater fan, there's going to be something for you,' he said.
'You've got a love story, a story about retirement and what it means to look to the future after that aspect of our lives kind of comes to an end.

'If you're somebody who just loves wrestling, it's written by wrestling fans for wrestling fans as much as it is for musical theater fans and rock fans.'
James says audiences will be catapulted back to the 80s, which he describes as the 'golden era of wrestling'.
'It's a 90-minute story where we tell you about this imaginary world of our invented wrestling world of Ben Vengeance who's facing his last match.'
'You don't need to know anything about wrestling,' he added. 'You don't ever have to have seen a musical before. It's just based on having a great time and an amazing experience.'

AEW wrestler and rapper Swerve Strickland has thrown his hat into the ring to join the cast.
'I always say that pro wrestling is one of the most unique sports and art forms, and then theater is one of the most difficult art forms there is out there, so combining those two things, you'd have to be one of the most dynamic performers out there,' he told the Daily Mail.
