Adele kicked off the first of her ten Munich residency performances on Friday night and did not disappoint her adoring fans who had travelled from all over the world to see her.
Aside from the two huge shows in London’s Hyde Park in July 2022, the Tottenham-born singer, 36, has not gigged in Europe since 2016.
The songstress took to the stage in front of 80,000 people to a special open-air pop-up stadium at Munich’s Messe centre.
In a statement ahead of the gigs, the star who has an 11-year-old son Angelo, shared: ‘I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career.’
And while the set list may change as the tour progresses, here are all the hits Adele performed on her opening night.

The hitmaker opened the show with an instrumental of her 2021 song Strangers By Nature before being raised up onto the stage in a long dramatic midnight blue gown with a billowing train.
Looking incredible she sang her 2015 smash hit Hello, which spent 49 weeks in the charts and peaked at number one.
As she looked around at the packed out crowd, she took a deep breath out and sang the iconic line ‘Hello it’s me’, before breaking out into her North London accent and saying ‘Hello’ waving to the stadium.
This was swiftly followed by Rumour Has It, I Drink Wine, as well as Water Under The Bridge.
Looking emotional with her eyes closed and clutching onto her gorgeous long gown, Adele then belted out Easy On Me from her fourth studio album, 30.
Never one to disappoint the fans, Adele made sure she chatted throughout the set and at one point made everyone laugh as she paused the concert to have part of her dress removed after a torrential downpour made it ‘too heavy’ to wear.
Adele then paid tribute to her early career with One and One – the only original song written for her second studio album 21, that was not inspired by the man that the rest of the album was about.
I’ll Be Waiting, Oh My God and Send My Love (To Your New Lover) were next.

As the night turned dark Adele then sang Home Town Glory, Love In The Dark and Make You Feel My Love.
Barely stopping to catch her breath she proceeded to take her shoes off and sit on the stool of a black grand piano.
As she tapped her foot along to the music, she belted out Chasing Pavements from her debut album, 19.
Next up was All I Ask, before she blew the roof off with the James Bond theme tune Skyfall where she stood behind a mic as an impressive light display went on around her and smoke billowed up behind.
The choice was made to dive into the back catalogue again as she stood on a platform singing Set Fire To The Rain before All Night Parking played.
Adele showed off her sensational vocal range, as she hit every note live to Hold On with blue lights flashing and moving across her.
Making sure not to disappoint some of her biggest fans the brunette beauty belted out ‘When We Were Young’ asking the crowd if they were ready, before confetti cannon popped off.
With the grand piano playing in the background, Adele’s penultimate song of the night was Someone Like You.
She finished the first of ten shows with the iconic ‘Rolling In The Deep’ as fireworks and other pyrotechnics went off.
As she finished up on the last note, the singer was bombarded with pink confetti and hearts that cascaded from cannons and across the crowd.
Whilst Adele delivered many of her biggest hits – and the banter on stage – the very first performance was not without its glitches.
Fans were said to be shocked at the ‘astronomical’ prices of merchandise.
It was feared fans could also end up suffering the wrath of fierce thunderstorms as weather experts issued a severe weather and the concert organiser’s announce emergency plans.
‘Individual thunderstorms are approaching from the west. There will be gusts of wind with speeds around 60 km/h (17 m/s)’ read the warning from German Weather Service (DWD).
It said the potential for lightning strikes presents a serious danger to life, and urged fans are to avoid staying outdoors.
It comes shortly after Adele’s concert plans were called into question after the singer was forced to cancel the final dress rehearsal for her Munich concert over fears of extreme weather, including storms.
The superstar, 36, and her management made the decision to cancel after reports of fierce thunderstorms and heavy rain.
The run of 10 shows in Munich will be her last gigs this year, aside from a few more sold out shows in Vegas, and her only shows in Europe.
Ahead of the show Adele wore rollers and admitted she’s s***ting herself as fans eagerly queued for the star’s much anticipated concert and detailed their ‘hell of an adventure’ to make huge gig in Munich

‘My tank is quite empty at the minute,’ the star said ahead of the residency in Munich. ‘I don’t have any plans for new music at all. I want a big break after all this and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while. You know, I don’t even sing at home at all. How strange is that?’
Adele also revealed she has a ‘rock solid booty’ after training ‘like an athlete’ ahead of upcoming Munich residency, that will see her walk ‘four or five miles a night’ on stage.
Adele kicks off her 10-date run at the custom-built Munich Messe stadium on Friday and said she been working out ‘like a crazy person’ to prepare for playing the ‘f*****g enormous’ concerts.
Speaking at one her Weekends with Adele Las Vegas shows, she revealed: ‘I am back at my gym grind like nobody’s business, I am doing two or three sessions a day.
‘My a**e is getting rock solid again! I can move mountains with my bum. I have been working out like a crazy person. The reason that I am working out like I’m an athlete again is because that stage is f****** enormous’.
Before adding: ‘I am back at my gym grind like nobody’s business, I am doing two or three sessions a day’.
Adele has also said that at her own request she had told organisers to built a special stage that would let her connect with the crowd.
Saying: ‘I was like ‘build me a stage out in the crowd’, And they were like ‘Well, we can’t get you there unless you walk there on a stage”
‘[So] I think I’ll get a good four or five miles in a night, walking. So I really need to get my stamina up!’.
