Jennifer Aniston’s long-time pal Adam Sandler has gushed over her new romance with Jim Curtis and said he’s ‘so happy’ she’s having ‘the love affair you deserve’.
The 59-year-old Happy Gilmore actor praised his close friend while he presented her with one of ELLE magazine’s Women in Hollywood accolades on Monday.
Jennifer, 56, had brought her boyfriend Jim to the event in Beverly Hills, marking their first major public outing together.
Speaking on stage, Adam said to Jennifer:Â ‘When we are around you, me and [my wife] Jackie are so happy you and Jim found each other and are having the love affair you two deserve.
‘We love you, Jim. The whole world loves you, Jack.’
Adam, who played Jennifer’s husband in Netflix’s Murder Mystery movies in recent years, continued by praising her warm nature and good humour.

According to PEOPLE, he told the packed event:Â ‘I can honestly say Jen is the best in so many ways and one of the most rocksteady humans I’ve ever met.
‘I’ve only seen her angry maybe, like, two and a half times in the 40 years I’ve hung out with her. Jennifer is beautiful, everyone knows that. She makes us smile and laugh. And she has a warmth to her that is intoxicating.’
He concluded his gushing speech: ‘She is everyone’s best friend.’
While the Friends actress walked the red carpet alone, she posed for snaps with hypnotist Jim inside the Four Seasons Hotel.
Jennifer used her speech to weigh into the Hollywood row on artificial intelligence as she said the tech would not be able to recreate the talent of actors or their relationships on and off screen.Â
Proud-looking Jim was also snapped sitting beside his girlfriend before she took to the stage to accept her accolade.Â
In an interview with ELLE, Jennifer praised her new man, calling him ‘very special’.
She said: ‘Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does. He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people.

Jennifer, who was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 until 2005, and Justin Theroux from 2011 until 2017 – set off romance rumours with Jim when they were glimpsed on vacation in Mallorca, Spain, over Fourth of July weekend.
They took their relationship to the next level in September when he supported her at the season three premiere of her Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show, although the two didn’t pose for photos together.
An insider recently told PEOPLE that Jennifer’s new relationship to Jim ‘is different’ and she is ‘very excited about it’.Â
‘It’s obvious that she admires him. She talks about how he has amazing energy, and she loves what he does for living, because it truly helps people, including herself.’
Jim is ‘kind and grounded’ and Jennifer’acts like she feels very safe with him,’ the insider added, sharing: ‘She’s really in a great place.’
