Adam Peaty’s family ‘left distressed’ after ‘maliciously’ being sent photo of their estranged son with the Ramsays and the Beckhams on his wedding day after they were disinvited

After being uninvited to his lavish wedding, Adam Peaty’s estranged family have been ‘left distressed’ after they were ‘maliciously’ emailed a photo of their estranged son with the Ramsays and Beckhams on his big day. 

Adam, 31, tied the knot with TV chef Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly, 25, at Bath Abbey on December 27, amid a bitter feud which saw his mother Caroline disinvited and his sister Bethany the only relative in attendance.

The photo of the newlyweds, which was taken for a glossy spread in Vogue magazine, saw them stood besides Gordon, his wife Tana and the chef’s youngest son Jesse, two, as well as Sir David and Lady Victoria. 

A source told Daily Mail: ‘When the picture pinged into a close family member’s inbox we were honestly shocked. Why would someone send us a photo from a wedding we were all banned from apart from Adam’s sister.

‘We’re not sure if it was sent in error or maliciously to make us suffer even more. It has caused us unnecessary anguish and distress and we can’t show it to Adam’s mum Caroline. She would’t take kindly to it.’

The source added: ‘It shows the bride and groom with just her parents and their best friends and with the Beckhams posing where Caroline and Mark should be!

Meanwhile another told source told The Sun, who first reported the story: ‘Gordon’s son is there too but not Adam’s’. 

Adam shares five-year-old George, who was present at the ceremony, with ex-partner Eirianedd Munro. 

It comes after Gordon insisted that his wedding speech was ‘perfect and warm’, doubling down after sparking outrage with the athlete’s mother. 

The TV chef took to This Morning alongside his younger daughter, Tilly, 24, on Monday morning, where he opened up on watching the couple wed. 

The Sun reported that in his father of the bride speech Gordon commented on how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a ‘lucky man’, adding: ‘Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.’ 

The publication goes on to claim that Gordon couldn’t resist a sly dig at Adam’s absent parents he told his daughter Holly: ‘Shame you don’t have the same.’

It was later revealed that swimmer Adam’s estranged mother had been left ‘outraged’ and ‘hurt’ that Gordon referred to their bitter family feud in his explosive father of the bride speech.

A family source told the Daily Mail she was left horrified by the moment in the speech and believes the celebrity chef had ‘pre planned’ the cruel swipe against her, calling it ‘cruel’ and ‘very hurtful’. 

But Gordon doubled down on his speech as he appeared alongside This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, insisting that what he had to say at the wedding reception was ‘perfect and warm’. 

Gordon said: ‘It’s tough, honestly. Being the dad with three daughters, you dream of that moment and that moment arrives and you’re just like a hot mess. 

‘But, the speech was perfect, it went well and you’ve got to find that… You’ve got to be warm, emotional… It’s a tough gig.’

Daughter Tilly admitted that she had listened to the speech ahead of the big day, chiming in: ‘I think it was Christmas Eve, I was sat in his room for an hour as he was just reading through it. 

‘Going through everything but no tweaks were needed, it was perfect. It made everybody cry.’

Last week, bride Holly defended her father’s speech despite Caroline’s outrage, saying she felt ‘overwhelmed with happiness’ during it.

In an interview with British Vogue, Holly shared a photo of herself and Adam smiling and laughing during Gordon’s speech.

‘Listening to dad’s speech, looking around the room and feeling overwhelmed with the love and the happiness on our guests’ faces,’ she said. 

In another jibe at the estranged Peaty family, Holly revealed that her parents paid for her and Adam’s luxurious Honeymoon to Mauritius, saying it was their ‘wedding present’. 

She added: ‘We’re going to Mauritius to just lie by the sea – that was our wedding present from my parents. I had to tell Adam we weren’t basing our honeymoon around a 25-metre pool…’
