She praised Siwa’s ‘incredible dancing’ as well as her edgy, new look — adding that her favorite part of the singer’s music video was when she was swimming underwater in a ‘beautiful’ scene and emerging like the ‘Loch Ness Monster.’
About the young actress’ dark makeup and sexy KISS-inspired catsuit — which Miller pointed out was a drastic change from her past colorful image — she defended her former student and said she was just growing up.
‘I don’t know if it’s so much as a rebranding or just maturing, getting older, wanting to show another side of her,’ she shared.

‘It’s still her doing incredible dancing,’ she said about the former student.
‘And this song is about, I guess, somebody hooked up with somebody else and it’s gonna come back to haunt you,’ she said about her interpretation of the meaning of her song and video.
‘It’s JoJo with paint on her face and a fabulous costume,’ she added.
‘It used to be stars and rainbows and pink and lavender and turquoise, and now it’s black,’ she continued.
She also shared her opinion on the racy ensembles worn by Siwa and her backup dancers in the music video depicting a wild yacht party off the shore of a remote island.
‘I thought the costumes were over-the-top,’ she said. ‘Loved it all.’
Miller said she thought she looked the ‘most beautiful’ when she was swimming underwater when she was not wearing heavy makeup.
‘JoJo’s a really pretty girl,’ she said. ‘She could do a lot of different looks, but I thought the under-the-water with the hair long was beautiful.’
