Abbie Chatfield has revealed what she was really doing during an awkward on-air confrontation with radio host Kyle Sandilands on Wednesday.
The uncomfortable face-off began when Kyle, 53, and his co-host Jackie O Henderson were interviewing Abbie’s boyfriend Adam Hyde on their show and asked him about his relationship with the FBoy Island host, 29.
The hosts discovered Abbie was unhappy about how the shock jock ‘slut-shamed’ her on The Kyle and Jackie O Show two years ago.
‘I didn’t like the way you spoke about me… you said things that are careless and hurtful to me and to women listening in the car hearing you imply that dating a lot of people is a bad thing. It was a huge implication of slut-shaming there,’ Abbie said during the phone call.
Later that day, Abbie, 29, took to her Instagram Stories to share that she was going to the toilet when she asked Kyle to apologise to her.
Over a picture of herself looking down into the camera and giving a thumbs up, she wrote: ‘[Adam] just got Kyle to (kind of) apologise for the slut-shaming thing on air lmao.’
‘I was weeing when I answered the call. Adam is an icon nonetheless.’

During their confrontation, Abbie continued to insist that Kyle should apologise for ‘his actions’ before asking him to repeat after her in a very awkward moment.
‘Say I’m sorry my careless words implied slut-shaming. It was never my intention but never the less I am sorry,’ she said.
Abbie come out guns blazing against Kyle in December 2022, accusing him of ‘slut-shaming’ her during a radio segment.
Later that day, Abbie took to her Instagram Stories to share that she was urinating when she asked Kyle to apologise to her: ‘I was weeing when I answered the call,’ she wrote
The podcaster unleashed on Kyle after he joked about her dating around during an interview with Yung Gravy on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
The American rapper, whose real name is Matthew Raymond Hauri, confirmed that he went on a date with Abbie.
After the musician said they’d made plans to meet again, Kyle responded: ‘You and everyone else. Line up, my friend, line up!’
An enraged Abbie reacted to it on an episode of her podcast It’s A Lot, accusing Kyle and fill-in host at the time Brittany Hockley of spreading ‘misogynistic rhetoric’ about her.
‘The issue that I think people like Kyle and Brittany have with me is that I’m able to speak about sexuality in a way that isn’t shameful, and they think that that must equate to f**king around, having sex every single day,’ she said.
‘When actually, it’s just that I don’t have the shame that they have, and therefore they’re projecting it onto me,’ she added.
‘Say what you want about me, but do not perpetuate slut-shaming bulls**t on the biggest radio show in the country.’
She also shared a lengthy post about the incident on Instagram, saying she was ‘incredibly disappointed to hear Kyle and Brittany slut-shame me’.
