Abbie Chatfield has broken down in tears of frustration after being falsely accused of stealing a diamond necklace.
The podcaster became the target of online trolls who have flooded her TikTok comments with accusations of theft after a Northern Beaches small business went public with claims that a high-profile inflencer stole a diamond necklace from them.
Luna Rae Jewellery shared a video to their TikTok page this week explaining that an unnamed social media influencer ordered their $360 Spirit Element Necklace earlier this year.
They say the influencer later claimed that the postal parcel containing the item was never delivered, and charged back the fee they paid for the diamond and gold piece, thereby receiving a refund.
Luna Rae Jewellery claims they have since seen the influencer, who they have continued not to name, wear the Spirit Element Necklace in social media posts, leading them to the conclusion that the refund was fraudulently obtained.
The viral video, which has racked up 1.5 million views, has led to a guessing game on social media, with viewers throwing out the names of a number of popular influencers as the possible culprit.

Among the loudest have been those accusing Chatfield, forcing the former reality star to tearfully defend herself in her own post on TikTok on Tuesday.
Abbie gave her followers a closer look at the necklace she normally wears in her social media posts – a horseshoe pendant gifted to her by her boyfriend, Adam Hyde – which in no way resembles the missing item from Luna Rae Jewellery.
In addition, Luna Rae Jewellery stated in their comments section on TikTok that Abbie is not the influencer they were referring to.
‘It’s wild that people will assume that I stole a necklace, that I committed a crime, because they see an outspoken woman,’ an emotional Abbie said in her video.
‘(People) see a woman not adhering to societal standards and then go, it must be Abbie Chatfield that committed a crime, that stole from a small business.’
Abbie outlined that she frequently endorses small businesses in unpaid posts online.
‘When you actually look at my politics, I’m all about supporting small businesses,’ she said.
Becoming tearful, Abbie continued, ‘I’ve never committed a f***ing crime in my f***ing life. I am so not a criminal.

‘I know people think it’s funny, but I am lied about every single day on the internet because people don’t like me. They don’t like my tone of voice, or that I swear, or that I’m a bit uncouth. And then they accuse me of crimes.
‘Now I’m getting harassed, being told that I stole a f***ing necklace. Why would I steal a necklace and then not wear it? If you look at my page, it’s a different necklace.
‘The accusations every single day about me make me genuinely get to the verge of a nervous breakdown. I’m so sick of being accused of things I did not do every day.’
Breaking down, the former radio star added, ‘I see a lie after lie about myself on the internet, and now these people who don’t like me are saying it must have been Abbie Chatfield who committed a crime. When have I ever committed a crime?
‘My politics are connected to empathy and collective empathy and not committing crimes like stealing from small businesses. So why would someone who’s loud about empathy for marginalised groups then steal from a small business?
‘These people see loud women in the same basket as criminals. Isn’t that f***ing insane?’ she concluded.
Luna Rae Jewellery updated their followers on the saga on TikTok on Tuesday stating that they have been ‘overwhelmed’ by the attention the situation has brought them.
