Abbie Chatfield Criticized for ‘Humiliating’ Boyfriend on Red Carpet

Abbie Chatfield is being slammed online after posting a ‘humiliating’ video of her boyfriend Adam Hyde.

The media personality took to TikTok on Monday to share a clip showing her partner holding her bag for her while she posed for photos on the red carpet.

‘The future feminists want,’ the 30-year-old captioned the post, which showed Adam – whose stage name is Keli Holiday – looking downcast and awkward while his girlfriend hammed it up for photographers at two different events.

Fans flooded the comments section to criticise Abbie’s treatment of the Dancing2 hitmaker.

‘He looks so embarrassed and emotional,’ one person pointed out.

Another wrote: ‘I’d never humiliate my husband like this. But I guess that’s why I’m married… and will stay that way.’

‘Why does he look so depressed, down and embarrassed?’ another person questioned.

‘He looks so sad, like he doesn’t want to be there,’ one fan penned, while someone else added, ‘It should be equal. This is demoralising to him.’

However, others took to the comments section to gush about Adam, telling Abbie that she had found an ‘angel’ and was ‘lucky’ to have him.

‘He’s so adorable waiting for you,’ one person wrote, with someone else adding, ‘Positive masculinity is soooo HOT.’

Another chimed in: ‘We’d all be lucky to have a partner love us the way Adam loves you.’

‘This is the right kind of masculine. He’s THAT secure. Give him all the things girl,’ another shared, while one fan simply put: ‘He’s a real life angel.’

Abbie clarified in the comments that Adam thought her video was absolutely hilarious.

‘Hahahahahahha he was scream laughing at my edit,’ she wrote.

Abbie recently stepped out with Adam at The Golden Bachelor Australia premiere.

The reality star arrived at the Sydney premiere on Monday alongside her boyfriend and her mum, Laura Neal.

Laura is set to feature on the debut season of the Aussie dating show in the hopes of winning the heart of Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden.

Abbie opted for an all-black ensemble for the occasion, wearing a high-neck frock that cinched at her waist and boasted a high leg slit, showing off her trim pins.

She paired the classic dress with strappy black heels and large hoop earrings.

She kept it au naturel with her makeup and threw her brunette curls into an up-do, letting two strands fall across her cheeks.

Abbie beamed with pride as she stood alongside her mum on the red carpet.

The pair were later joined by Adam, who rolled up in rockstar attire, exposing his chest in a white singlet, which he paired with a black suit and chunky boots.

Adam and Abbie then packed on the PDA for the cameras, with the former FBoy Island host sweetly placing her hand on his chin as he put his arm around her.
