has weighed in after Prime Minister delivered an address to the nation on Wednesday night.

The reality star and left-wing commentator revealed in an Instagram Stories post that some of her followers believed that Albanese's speech was just 'an April Fools' joke' seeing as it was delivered on April 1st.

'It's not an April Fools' thing. I love the optimism, but it's not going to be an April Fools' thing,' she said in a short clip posted on Wednesday.

'I love the idea of Australian mums going round this afternoon saying, "Oh darl, maybe it's an April Fools'? Maybe Albo is doing April Fools'. There's no need to get in a tizzy about it, he's probably doing April Fools'." I love it.'

In a further post on social media, Abbie wrote: 'Turns out, Trump being elected actually DOES impact Australia??

'Who could have predicted this? Good thing everyone told me I was overreacting in 2024.'

The podcaster added in her caption: 'Incredible stuff. We are so screwed. I can't believe this is happening. I still can't believe he was even allowed to RUN after being a FELON but okay!

'I would love an apology from anyone who told me the outcome of the election wouldn't matter!'

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese addressed the nation on Wednesday amidst the fuel crisis that has arisen as a result of the war in Iran.

Albanese urged Aussies to live life normally, but with other Aussies in mind.

In an address to the nation at 7pm AEDT, Albanese said it went to the core of the nation.

'It's the Australian way that people want to do their bit and there's simple ways that you can,' he said.

'You should go about your business and your life as normal. Enjoy your Easter.

'If you're hitting the road, don't take more fuel than you need, just fill up like you normally would.'

After waiting all day for the rare address to the nation, viewers were left disappointed to see Albanese's message was pre-recorded.

'Was anyone else expecting it to be a LIVE address to the nation? No sincerity could be felt with a recorded message that probably took multiple takes,' one wrote online.

'Hype us up all day, get us all to watch... that? A recorded message?!' another said.

'At least I got permission to enjoy my Easter. Thanks, Albo,' another wrote.

'That was the most underwhelming national address I’ve ever witnessed. Surely we deserved better Albo,' another said.
