Abbey Clancy has credited ‘amazing’ husband Peter Crouch for throwing her surprise 40th birthday party in the heart of Paris.
Clancy, who reached the milestone on January 10, was blindsided after the former Stoke City and England footballer whisked her off to the city of love, unaware that family and friends from all over the world were already waiting there to surprise her.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the model admitted she was touched by the gesture, while praising Crouch for his thoughtfulness in arranging a surprise party.
She wrote: ‘What a weekend for my 40th birthday, I feel so so loved thank you to my amazing husband and my wonderful family and friends who have travelled from all over the world to surprise me in Paris, love you all.’
The post included an assortment of photos from her big day after she and Crouch checked in at the five-star Mandarin Oriental Lutetia on the capital’s Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
Among images of the couple’s immaculate double bed and Clancy’s elegant evening wear hung from a clothes rail, the model also shared photos of herself surrounded by friends and family while dining out at a Paris restaurant.

Elsewhere, Clancy posed for a bathroom selfie while apparently braless beneath a striking cream dress, complete with a thigh-high slash.
The mother-of-four recently discussed her decision to curb cutting her drinking habits and change her lifestyle, admitting she ‘overdid the wine’ while holed up at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Clancy revealed after waking up at 6:30am, she begins her morning with a coffee while the children eat croissants for breakfast, admitting starting the day can be ‘hectic’ as she has to ensure making it to school on time.
She told the Sunday Times magazine: ‘Once all four kids are at school my day can begin. I might overindulge on holiday and consume a lot of wine but then I’ll be on a health kick, so I go to the gym every day.’
The model said she’ll also spend an hour practising dressage with her horse Enzo, and once a week she and Crouch record their podcast, The Therapy Crouch, together.
She continued: ‘If we’re doing the podcast, lunch will be some chicken sandwiches from the deli. And once a week I’ll meet up with a group of friends for a girly lunch of pasta and a bellini or two…
‘Dinner is always cooked by me; I made these incredible dauphinoise potatoes with steak, mushrooms and green beans last night.
‘If I’m too tired or I’m out, Pete will either get a takeaway or make the only dish he ever cooks, which is Daddy’s omelette – basically stuffed with whatever’s in the fridge.’

Reflecting on her drinking habits, she added: ‘We overdid the wine during COVID so we’re trying to drink less, and it all seems a world away from when Pete was playing for England and the WAG culture was in full flow.’

She said: ‘I had a terrible incident in a chemist once when I was nine months pregnant and had a hold of a six-month-old baby.

‘There was a lady at the till with a baby and what I thought was a pregnant tummy. I said to her, “God, you’re as nutty as me”.
‘The baby was kicking off and I went, “Oh God, we’ve got it all to come, haven’t we?”
‘She said “I’m not pregnant, this is my baby weight from this baby”, and I just wanted to die. I was like, “I am so sorry, I am so sorry”.
‘She went, “Don’t worry about it”, and thought it was funny, but I was heartbroken. It’s not good, never, ever do that.’
