Abbey Clancy has revealed the ‘filthy’ and ‘mouldy’ living quarters Peter Crouch used to live in before he shot to fame as a footballer and met his model wife.
The LFC legend, 42, and Abbey, 37, said on their Therapy Crouch podcast on Monday that the retired footballer used to live in a dire state before he met Abbey.
The mother-of-four said Peter had mouldy food in his fridge, no bedding and a box that he used to catch his pubic hair droppings during personal grooming.
Chatting to guest stars James and Clair Buckley, Abbey said: ‘I go to his house and it was literally like the inbetweeners lived there.
‘He had a loaded money box next to his bed full of naked girls with pennies in.’

Peter chipped in: ‘My mother bought me that. I think she was worried about me.’
‘He had no bedding, no food in the fridge. There was a jar of pesto, and when I opened it, there was like mould,’ Abbey added.
She said: ‘The house was filthy. He had a box to shave his pubes into. It was vile.’
Peter jokingly added: ‘The squat box.’
But Abbey put their listeners’ minds at ease, revealing that the former footballer didn’t keep the pubic hair and just used the box to help manage the fallout.
She revealed: ‘I had to go in and de-fung the whole flat. I had to buy bedding, I had to buy pans. He had like one mug.’
Now the Liverpudlians have come a long way from mouldy food and no bed sheets as they snapped up a £3 million Surrey mansion in 2016.
Abbey renovated the pad to make it the perfect family home for the couple and children Sophia, 12, Liberty, eight, Johnny, six, and four-year-old Jack.

The blonde beauty revealed that she had her eye on Peter very early on in his career.
Working as a waitress at the time, Abbey got the hots for the star before he made his big break with LFC.
She spent weeks trying to align her shifts with Peter’s visits and on the night of his first Liverpool goal on December, 3, 2005, she finally got her wish.
The stunner said she gave Peter her number but soon took it back after seeing him chatting to another girl.
But Peter explained that it wasn’t what it looked like and he too only had eyes for Abbey.
She said: ‘ I actually fancied Pete. He was having a tough time not scoring for Liverpool and I just felt like he needed looking after.
‘I was a waitress in this restaurant, and I always used to pretend I had a toothache or I was sick and go home and every time I went home he would come in and this one time my best friend Kaz had told me it was Tommy’s birthday and I was working.
‘I went down to the club downstairs, and Pete was there, and I just remember my heart pounding. As I was going to the loo, I was like ”aww, well done, you scored your first goal for Liverpool, didn’t you?”’
‘It took me a while’, Peter chipped in.
Abbey added: ‘And then you asked me for my number, and then I came out the loo, and he was chatting another girl up. I was like ”are you messing?” Proper player.’
‘I was like ”give me my number back now.”Peter claimed he was “literally just talking” to the woman at the time and wasn’t “working the room”.’
