Stephanie Davis was rushed to hospital on Friday night after becoming ‘really unwell’ and left struggling to breathe.
The Hollyoaks star, 31, who is currently pregnant with her second child, took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday to update her fans on her emergency dash.
She explained: ‘I’ve not been feeling well. I’ve been really short of breath and I’ve had really swollen joints.’
Lifting her hand up to show the camera, she added: ‘I’ve gone a funny colour, they said it could be pregnancy arthritis, it’s killing me.
‘My ankles are swollen and I started getting really short of breath so the doctor sent me to A&E on Friday night. And I was like I can’t sit, it’s torture.’

Stephanie explained that she had been ‘on the verge of tears’, but explained the doctors had given her nebulisers and that she was doing much better.
She said: ‘They ended up giving me some nebulisers to help me breathe, so that helped. And just by the end of it at god knows what time in the morning, we just wanted to get home.
‘I was just like ready for bed, on the verge of tears after sitting on those chairs. I’m struggling a bit again tonight, but I’m okay, I’m fine. I’ve just been a bit stressed I think.’
The mother-of-one added that she had decided to go to A&E out of concern for her unborn child, but admitted that she was exhausted after the late night emergency.
She said: ‘If I wasn’t pregnant I wouldn’t have gone because it’s just a nightmare isn’t it, sitting there.
‘But obviously because of the swollen hands, swollen feet, shortness of breath, pregnant, obviously just wanted to make sure the baby was okay. So we rode it out.’
Stephanie finished her video saying she had got some chocolate and ice cream and was hoping to ‘try and have a nice weekend’ and go out for a walk to get some fresh air.
However, she admitted: ‘I am just so tired. Just been a bit stressful, going to take my time this week and chill.’
