Britney Spears Defends Justin Bieber Amid Home Concerns

Britney Spears is standing up for a fellow pop star, Justin Bieber.

The 43-year-old former hitmaker shared a post in defense of Bieber, 31, on Tuesday night, just days after he released Swag II, the surprise follow-up to his critically acclaimed seventh studio album.

She reposted a photo from Swag’s publicity campaign, a black-and-white image of a shirtless Bieber sitting on a sofa inside of a barn that was part of his Swag publicity campaign.

The photo featured Bieber’s 12-month-old son Jack Blues — whom he shares with his wife Hailey Bieber — crawling on him while wearing nothing but a diaper.

‘Shame on those who judged my home in my pajamas!!!’ Spears captioned the photo for her 41.9 million followers. ‘I’m in love with this picture!!! So so beautiful!!!’

The defensive post appeared to both support Bieber in the wake of fan fears about his marriage and mental health that peaked shortly before the release of Swag, as well as to tell off fans who worried about Spears after she shared disturbing photos and videos of her dirty, disheveled home.

However, much of the fan chatter about Bieber appeared to evaporate after the release of Swag, which proved to be a critical and commercial success.

His brief campaign to publicize the album leaned heavily on stylized images of the singer and his wife with their young son, which helped to rehabilitate his image with some fans after embarrassing displays of tension between him and Hailey. 

Britney is no stranger to fan concerns after some of her social media followers began to worry about her wellbeing due to some of her recent posts.

On Monday, an insider told the Daily Mail exclusively that Spears is ‘having an episode right now.’

The source noted that friends and family close to Spears were keeping an eye on her, but they don’t have any plans to intervene at the moment.

Things inside Britney’s mansion have gotten dire, as her mansion is a ‘mess’ and smeared with dog poop, as she doesn’t ‘clean up after [her] dogs,’ and she hasn’t had a cleaning staff drop be daily in some time.

The insider opined that Spears simply ‘isn’t functioning like an adult would function.’ 

The Daily Mail reached out to Spears’ representative for contact but hasn’t received a response.

Much of the fan fears seem to be generated by Spears’ own bizarre Instagram post.

Last month, she stoke concerns after posting semi-nude photos of herself, and she left her followers scratching their heads after posting an off-key performance of a Prince song while revealing the disheveled state of her mansion in the background.

Clutter could be seen in the spacious living room behind her, and toward the end of the clip one of Spears’ dogs walked behind her.

In the caption, the singer wrote to her fans: ‘I would say, Julia Roberts singing Prince’s “Kiss” off key a touch, but I sounded really good behind the lens lol!!!

‘PSS Wise a**es, I do know who I am !!!’ she added, referencing to the lyrics she had been singing. 

‘I have eight different languages written on my neck … these are my pjs, but I put these boots on to play with lighting … not the most elegant look but hey!!!’ 

In a second video also shared on Monday, the performer explained that she was in the midst of cleaning her abode but decided to take a quick break. 

Britney also belted out some more vocals for her followers as she adjusted the camera and lighting. 

‘Messing around with lighting and cleaning my house like no tomorrow,’ the star wrote in the caption. 

Britney rarely sings in her social media clips, and instead will showcase her dance moves.

Most recently, the Toxic songstress donned a very revealing gold minidress that had a large cutout around the bust area in a reel shared last week. 

But as she moved in front of the camera, the star suffered numerous nip slips – but made sure to add flower emojis for coverage. 

It comes not long after Britney’s ex Sam Asghari took a swipe at the star’s ex-husband Kevin Federline as he prepares to release a tell-all memoir titled You Thought You Knew. 

The Gimme More hitmaker was previously married to Sam from 2022 until their divorce was finalized last year. In December 2024, the pop singer was declared legally single. 

Britney also tied the knot with Kevin in 2004 until their split in 2007. The former couple are parents to sons Sean Preston, 19, and Jayden, 18. 

While out in Los Angeles earlier this month, Sam shared his thoughts about Kevin’s book while talking to TMZ. 

‘Well, he was a professional father so he would be a great… it would be the first book that’ll tell you how to be a professional father.’

The actor was possibly making a reference to the child support payments Kevin had been receiving from Britney for their two sons.

The payments officially ended in November 2024, when Jayden turned 18. 

Sam has previously voiced support for Britney, such as earlier this year in January when he reflected on the ‘darker side of Hollywood.’

While talking to Page Six, he said: ‘You have to be careful in every industry. Not just in Hollywood. You have to always be careful and protect yourself and protect the people that you love.’

In regard to his ex-wife, the star added, ‘I just wish her the best. I think that the number one factor of a partner is to be there for one another, no matter what. 

‘There’s never ever a need to take advantage of anybody. We all go through this life and we go through different chapters and you meet people along the way and they are a big part of your life.’

Sam continued, ‘You’re just always thankful for every moment that you spent with people in the past.’ 

Since his divorce from the pop singer, Sam has been romantically linked to Brooke Irvine. 

After Kevin announced his upcoming memoir, fans of Britney slammed her ex-husband – who will open up about their ‘highly publicized marriage.’

One wrote, ‘So, no one would buy his story, so he thinks people want to hear him read his notes app life story?’ 

And over on Reddit, another said, ‘That child support dried up realllllll quick,’ while one added, ‘His timing tells you everything.’
