Stephanie Davis has revealed she ‘felt so isolated’ while her son was a newborn as she shared an emotional throwback snap.
The soap star, 31, confirmed in June that she had split from ex boyfriend Joseph McKalroy just four months after they welcomed their baby boy Samuel in January.
And this week, Stephanie shared some insight into the months before their break-up as she posted a picture of herself crying while holding her son.
The picture was taken when Samuel was just four weeks old and she was still in a relationship with Joseph.
It showed Stephanie crying and in the caption she said she felt ‘isolated’ and ‘vacant’ as she reflected on what ‘should have been a happy time’.
She captioned the snap: ‘Never felt so isolated. Should have been such a happy time. I look wrecked from crying and vacant. Only 4 weeks old here.’

The Hollywoaks actress announced the end of their relationship in a statement to fans at the end of June.
The actress wrote: ‘Never in a million years did I think I’d be writing this. I’ve been left with no choice but to address the rumours.
‘This has come as a complete shock and has been an incredibly painful and unexpected time.
‘Just four months after having a baby-one of the most vulnerable and emotional times in a woman’s life-I’ve found myself facing this chapter on my own.
‘After everything I’ve been through in the past, I truly believed I’d finally found my happiness-something secure and lasting. But that, heartbreakingly, hasn’t been the case.
‘I’m greatful for the years we had because without us I wouldn’t have my Samuel. Who will always be my priority.
‘Right now, I’m focusing on healing. protecting my peace, and doing the best I can-being there for my two beautiful boys.
‘Thank you to those who’ve reached out-your kindness has meant more than I can say. Stephanie X.’

At the time, Joe shared an emotional post saying: ‘Welcome to the world my beautiful baby boy Samuel McKalroy
‘Named after your uncle the one and only who will always weigh heavy on my heart I wish so much that he could’ve met you and cherished you as much as I do.
‘It has been a traumatic experience but you are finally here in our arms. I never thought I could possibly love your mummy anymore than I already do but this is just so special and an unconditional love I cannot explain with words.
‘I love you more than you will ever know’.
Confirmation of their split comes after eagle-eyed fans had noticed Steph failed to mention Joseph on Father’s Day.
She did, however, make a tribute to her own dad on Instagram.
In the post, Steph praised her dad for being there for her and her two sons, writing: ‘There aren’t many men like you.’
One fan then replied: ‘Where’s Joe?’ and another commenting: ‘I think they have split up’ whilst another simply said: ‘Hope you and joe are OK’
The break-up marks another chapter in what’s been a rollercoaster love life for the Hollyoaks and Coronation Street star.
She also shares seven-year-old son Caben with ex-boyfriend and Celebrity Big Brother co-star Jeremy McConnell, who was convicted of assaulting her in 2017.
Steph has openly spoken about the heartache she and Joe endured in 2022 after suffering a miscarriage at three months.
She described it as a ‘horrendous’ time, saying they had already planned a future as a family of four.
