Michelle Bridges has revealed the impact living in the South African jungle has had on her body after her stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia.
The personal trainer, 53, became the fourth star to exit the jungle camp on the 2024 series of I’m A Celebrity, before Skye Wheatley went on to be crowned winner.
Michelle has since returned to normal life in Sydney and took to Instagram on Thursday to reflect on her jungle journey as she returned to the gym.
The fitness fanatic shared a video of herself lifting weights and revealed how weeks in the jungle has changed her body, sharing that she has lost some muscle mass.
Alongside footage of her working out, she said: ‘I’ve lost a bit of muscle mass in four weeks in the jungle and a bit of strength too, so I’m back on track.

‘I’m going to build up my leg muscle mass because at my age, it’s liquid gold. Future proofing your bodies ladies, lifting heavy is an insurance policy you’ll never regret.’
In the video, the health and wellness author showed off her strength as she lifted weights and smiled at the camera as she gave an insight into her exercise regime.
Michelle, who rose to fame as a trainer on The Biggest Loser in 2007, also shared an empowering message with her followers in an accompanying caption.
She urged her 266,000 followers to take up weight lifting as she praised the benefits on the body, including increasing bone density and improving muscle tone.

She penned: In my first book Crunch Time, 18 books ago and nearly 20 years ago I wrote – ‘Weight training is the Fountain of Youth’. I stand by that more than ever today.
‘Future proof your body from injury, illness, early death, loss of independence, loss of confidence, a lack of insulin resistance and bone density.
‘Yes. It takes work. A bit of time. Sure. However the benefits OUTWEIGH any of (what you’re bitching about) it.
‘Feck peri menopause and menopause. I’m rewriting that whole narrative with science and research and wholistic action.

It comes after Michelle told how she refuses to let age deter her career and insisted she won’t be ‘sidelined’.
She told the The Herald Sun after leaving the jungle: ‘I’m a bada** and I’m about to kick butt. We’re not going to get sidelined at this age, we’re going to put our hand up and say pick me.’
‘We’ve earned our stars, we’ve earned our stripes, we’ve got knowledge, maturity, wisdom and we can take it into an exciting next chapter.’

Michelle became the fourth star to be voted out of the jungle earlier this month and described the experience as a ‘reality check’.
Discussing her stint on the show, Michelle admitted she missed her son Axel, eight, ‘like crazy’, but was determined to continue in the competition.
She also revealed she’d been invited to star on the show many times, and had finally ‘found a gap in her schedule’ this year.
